So a seller is a greedy bastard if they ask for the market clearing price for their item? What about the buyer who shops for the best deal they can get? I guess they are cheap bastards? Its amazing how quickly people turn on the basic concepts of a capitalist free market when the free market means something costs more - particularly since I would bet that the vast majority of people who can afford a 911 can do so because of capitalism (with all of its flaws).

It sucks to be priced out of some things; I’m priced out of a lot of things in life. But a 911 isn’t essential for survival.

I was at South Bay Porsche (L.A. suburb) today to get my 2nd key fob programmed on my 22 Targa 4. I walked through the showroom, and saw the following:
- GT3 Touring, Agate Grey, 150k ADM (buyer coming in this weekend)
- Turbo S, PTS, 175k ADM
- 2021 TTS Demo, sold for 110k over original MSRP
- All Macan's and Cayenne's are 8 - 12k over window
- They can't get any 718 allocations, so those will be even more pricey
- They have not seen any Targa allocation in months, and asking (and claimed they are getting) 50k ADM on any Targa.
- The SA really wanted to buy my Targa 4 (which I got for 1k under MSRP), but I said no. I didn't wait my whole life to get this car to just sell it!

First time Porsche buyer here. Anyone know what a reasonable ADM is for a C2S? I spoke to my dealership over the weekend and was quoted 10% with 10 month wait. This just seems high and looking for a bit of transparency.

I would keep trying.

Just read through this thread and the many others on the topic. How are we using "reasonable" here? Some people will never see any ADM as "reasonable" (see Undersky2's post). But if you mean reasonable in the context of what you can reasonably be expected to have to pay to get an allocation in the next 6-12 months, you will get a different answer which will be dependent on where you are located. But a $15K ADM for delivery in 10 months for someone with no previous relationship or desired trade-in seems pretty much in line with the more "demand stressed" areas like NY and CA.

Most of us do have some limit. That said, it's your money to do as you'd like. If you want it now and don't care about ADM, then have at it.
Some folks will achieve both (now and no ADM) because they have a different circumstance.
Personally, I am like the previous note. It would be my first Porsche and I'm trying to develop a relationship.
I have about 5 dealerships with 2 hours of me. I am only working with one (the closest) who told me it would be MSRP.
I don't consider anything real until I actually have an allocation and placed a deposit. I'm on a list with no deposit, so that is nice for me.
ADM is just the cost of patience. We all have different levels of that, too!
