My dealership quoted me $0 ADM. approximately 1 year wait. This is for a C2S.

I'm local to Chicago, care to share the name of the dealership?

I learned a new phrase today after inquiring about a surprise car I saw in searching Porsche USA.

"pool car"

From my SA, "We do have a C2. Porsche gave it to us. It is what they call a pool car. We get pool cars form time to time. We almost never get a 911 pool car."

Yeah, right!?!?!?

I was just doing a let me see what new 911 are "in stock" via the Porsche USA website and I see this pop-up on my local dealer's site.
1) I thought it might be bait to get orders.
2) It might be a canceled order.

But what I posted is the quote from the SA's e-mail to me when I asked.

And in case anyone really cares, I did get the build sheet and I recreated the spec: http://www.porsche-code.com/PNSI1D74

I could you point you to my SA/dealer if you can't figure it out yourself.

Thank you. No worries. Was just curious what a pool car is? I thought I’d heard it all at this point.

the lift and some other options on this build intrigue me more. Not enough to inquire though as I am patiently waiting for my inbound car which progressively continues to get further delayed.

I imagine ANY dealer can get you on a waiting list and tell you it will be a year or x months wait, but realistically will not let any cars go under market price (ADM for desired models) unless you have a great relationship with them already.

Hardly. Read the post. $100k ADM on a f* GTS ? Are you kidding me? That's a hard pass. So yes, in this case they are indeed greedy b*stards. It might cost *more* but it shouldn't be costing $100k More. Horses*it.
They don't care about their customers.
They only want their pay-day. It's clear as a bell.

Guess what: the highest ADM I will pay is the reverse of the highest discount I ever received on a new vehicle. 10%. That is all.

PAG will build as many cars as it can, sometimes more than what was allocated.

That is a pool car; they’ll show up at dealers.

My dealer received a 718 Spyder pool car about a year ago. Very minimalist build in black.

"Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered." A correction is coming and there will be an awful lot of hogs out there that will get slaughtered. I will get the popcorn out and enjoy the show when this happens. And I will continue to reward my dealers that treated me fairly in these times. "Fairly" to me is MSRP when I have been a multi-car repeat buyer.

Pretty arrogant thing to say. Taking joy out of others suffering is not something to brag about. That correction will hurt everyone, mostly innocents. The hogs are few and far between - it’s the media that makes it sound like the are hogs everywhere.
