2022 Allocation

Not that different then what Lin-Manuel Miranda did with tickets to Hamilton. When he saw the ridiculously inflated prices the scalpers were getting, he jacked up the face price of the ticket several-fold. His position (which I agree with) was that, if the public was willing to pay $1000 to see the show, that money should go to the show and not the scalpers.

Hey all new here.
I figured I'd share my experience thus far in tracking down a GTS/GT3 allocation, since roughly this time last year.
Dealer 1: supposedly should be the next allocation or two. There has been no mention on ADM yet, I have been led to believe it will be MSRP.
Dealer 2: told me basically no shot any time soon at either. They mentioned ADM, I said if it was reasonable I would consider. Was offered a Targa GTS, but with an ADM of about 8-9%.
My preference is a GTS coupe, so I believe at this time I'll pass on the Targa with ADM. If the Targa would have been at MSRP or even maybe 3-4% ADM, I probably would have done it.
A ADM of 10-15k does seem about right for this market, on a Targa GTS.

Two points:
1. OEMs are seeing the markups that the dealers are pocketing and will move in the future to add that to their bottom line. PCNA/PAG is very aware that people are paying 25k over for a freakin GTS.... MSRP increases will follow
2. I have to laugh when people say this market is the new normal. Let's chat again when the next recession hits (and it will hit...possibly sooner than people think with this runaway inflation)

I was on the configurator (for seemingly the 281st time) and I did notice this disclaimer at the bottom of the first page. I never would have pondered had it not been for these times of ADMs that were in. That last bit really stands out now!
"*Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price. Excludes options; taxes; title; registration; delivery, processing and handling fee; dealer charges. Dealer sets actual selling price."
While I am faithful to my local dealer, I got wind of an alternate build allocation and inquired. Had a nice conversation but they straight up stated in came with a small (actually affordable) ADM, but they were also requiring front PPF and body Ceramic plus a P service program. I actually felt those could be reasonable asks since I believe many folks would prep these cars in such a way. Justification was that local market dynamics supported their position considering they were having to pay MSRP for used cars..

Just like some guys on RL predicted, I received it the next business day after my build sheet, which is today. I woke up to it in my inbox.
Have you been shown a build sheet with your name and a V200 status code? That was the last item I received from my SA prior to the TYD email (Friday); any status prior to this will not trigger TYD.

Woke up this morning to my TYD email, est 142 days to delivery! Puts me in Mid Aug, perfect timing for all those amazing fall days here in the south, I am still in disbelieve that this car is finally going to be a reality. Hopefully my wife won't throw me out of the house since this is all I talk about! LOL. Seriously I think she is just as excited.

LOL, same, I have 2 32" monitors in our in-house office with 2 different views of the car, I don't have the nerve to tell her that I have a guy coming tmr to give me a quote to epoxy my garage floors.

On the allocation list for a Targa 4 with two dealers with no ADM. I live mid-way between three dealers. I went to the third this week to add my name and was told that Princeton Porsche (located in Princeton, NJ) wanted a $50,000.00 ADM. I will remain on the list of the two others.

I was on Princeton's list for a GTS coupe at MSRP. Got the call that they are now at $25,000 ADM. I pulled my name. I'm on a smaller dealers list at MSRP (for now maybe). Either way, I'll wait until the madness is over.

i had been talking with an SA at princeton on and off for a while. when the gt3 was announced they were offering 20k ADM for the winged version and 30k on the touring. in retrospect, not a bad deal.
