I sure am. That said, there’s nothing wrong with looking at the logistics realistically. Glad you guys are closer to obtaining cars.

Is it possible somebody ahead of you backed out of a build? Seems like a short time between letting you know and lock.

But their loss is your gain!

One more update on my process. Today I finally received a build sheet with an MSRP price and a V200 status code. I am finally feeling some excitement about this process So, for those of you out there still waiting, that's about a 6 month wait for me because I first contacted my SA with an order demand back in September of 2021. My SA has been great during the process and while it has been "opaque" at times, he basically kept his word throughout it and I appreciate that.

I have been promised the car in July but I know that's not likely to hold. So, let's call it about 1 year between order demand and physically getting my hands on the car.

I also just got my allocation (C2S Cab) June build, still a 22' that I'm Ok with, esp since I think we may have a large price increase for MY 23. Did not receive a freeze date other then my SA said to get final build in as soon as possible since he has seen over the years of Porsche changing that date at the last min. I am FINALLY getting my dream car!

Hey all new here.

I figured I'd share my experience thus far in tracking down a GTS/GT3 allocation, since roughly this time last year.

Dealer 1: supposedly should be the next allocation or two. There has been no mention on ADM yet, I have been led to believe it will be MSRP.

Dealer 2: told me basically no shot any time soon at either. They mentioned ADM, I said if it was reasonable I would consider. Was offered a Targa GTS, but with an ADM of about 8-9%.

My preference is a GTS coupe, so I believe at this time I'll pass on the Targa with ADM. If the Targa would have been at MSRP or even maybe 3-4% ADM, I probably would have done it.

A ADM of 10-15k does seem about right for this market, on a Targa GTS.

Sounds like a lot of C2 allocations came through in this cycle. That's at least 4 of them (myself included) that have now been reported on this board.

In this round a C4 allocation did not occur for me despite allegedly being on the top of the list.

From my SA:
"... We just got our allocation through August and it was very light. No 911 4. Only a couple of 911’s period. In two months we will get more allocation of July and August. ..."

Really curious as to when these cars will actually be built though. It seems that anything slated for production after March is in a total gray zone of uncertainty. My SA claims to have no clue what the second half of 2022 looks like.

sorry to hear that. I expected the March-April dealer allocations to be light since the 283 992s lost on the Felicity Ace have to be back-filled. C2 base and C2S allocations probably only allocations available since other the other models (Targa, 4, Turbos, GTS, GT) produced in smaller numbers.

I think C2 base and C2S with freeze dates in March and production dates in April probably OK with some individual options now limited (PCCB, Aero, PDCC, etc.). Allocations for other models (Targas, 4, GTS, GT, Turbo) probably will be limited. April freeze dates and May builds will be reserved for Felicity Ace replacement vehicles. So, I Do not expect any new allocations until Summer. Just my read on things. Could well be wrong.

I got an allocation on February 4 for a C2S after waiting since May 2021. Once I accepted the allocation, my SA asked for a delay in the build so I could get a PTS slot. My configuration has since been accepted and I'm currently scheduled for production in July. I have not had any delays since my configuration was accepted and my order created. SA says he has not seen any delays in the dealer system for 911s that he is following. Leipzig plant is supposed to start production again next week.

I think someone asked about availability of PTS for a recent order. My SA said that P stopped accepting PTS for MY 2022 as of 2/10. I was surprised given P's recent press release about wider availability of PTS. SA said he thought high demand caused them to shut it down for 2022.

Leipzig plant delay should nor effect 911 production at Stuttgart. Production delays depends on the model ordered ( Base, C2S, C4, GTS, Targa, Turbo, GT, etc.).

I understand that the 911 is made in Zuffenhausen (Stuttgart) and Leipzig is not directly connected to the 911. However, the cable/wiring issues from Ukraine have been a concern for all P models (if not all European cars) and were enough of a problem to shut down the entire Leipzig plant earlier in the month. I just think it is encouraging that P has apparently overcome, or found enough of a workaround, to restart the Leipzig plant. Who knows how long this will last but I'm looking for good news.
