About ED availability, today I received my ED date of 8/30/2022. They offered me a slew of September dates too. Seems to me ED is still available.

congratulations!
Which car allocation did you get?
I’m next in line for my Targa 4 GTS allocation, hopefully I’ll hear from my SA soon!

I placed an order for a Targa4S in July. Was fourth in line. Now next in line. MSRP. Confirmed yesterday there will be no "shenanigan's on pricing"

I placed a demand order along with a $2K deposit for a C4 early September 2021. In mid-March, my SA contacted me that it had an allocation for me. When I placed the demand order, there was no one else waiting for a C4 allocation (per the SA, the C4 is not a popular model). MSRP, though the SA did share corporate (AD is owned by parent company with other stores) wanted a $10K ADM. The SA went to bat for me and pushed back against the ADM given I was not informed of an ADM when I put in the demand order. ED is July though I'm not holding my breath.

Interesting, this is the first I've seen any post on an "4" order from allocation this March. I'm on the C4 list locally and it sounded like all allocation were for "2" (C2, C2S, etc.) models.

That is interesting. When I put in the demand order for a C4, it was because it was the model I wanted and was fortuitous given it's apparently not popular (surprising as I'm in Colorado). I was quite surprised to hear from my SA last month as he did reach out in January that he had no indication of when an allocation would drop. Are you first in line for a 4 allocation?

I went on the list in January and was allegedly first at my dealer. After pinging my SA, he did confirm they got very few allocations and no C4 allocations.
I'm hopeful for the May allocation period which could push out of course.

I wonder when the 992.2 allocations will be released. It has to be sometime in the next 2 months. Production for the 2023 models probably starts in September (5 months from now).

The 992.2 is the 2024 model year car in the US, not the 2023.

there are always a few minor changes model year to model year along with a price change, however, the 992.2 will be a more significant change and arrive model year 2024 or possibly 2025 which would be unusual but given delays with supply chain, etc., Porsche may delay the .2 release a year.

I just got on the list for a C4S allocation at MSRP with a quoted wait time of 1-2 years. I figured the AWD would be necessary in western PA, but general consensus is that a C2S is perfectly capable in most winter scenarios so I'll probably switch.
