Check out Fabspeed’s videos describing the inside of the PSE exhaust. When exhaust gases go through the muffler, they still go through a lot of obstacles. Even with the valves open, some of the exhaust gases will go through that. With the Soul exhaust, 100% of gas go straight out the tail pipe

I was asking from an aftermarket perspective. JCR offers a few different types, but most likely, answer is still the same, non-valved is best for flow.

Titanium center, valved

Titanium center, non-silenced, non-valved

Titanium center, silenced, non-valved

That is correct. On a stock-turbo car I don't think we are really going to see any huge differences, but if you are going bigger turbo and are chasing big numbers, the valves are going to hinder you just a bit as they do become an obstacle or object that gets in the way of exhaust flow, even if they are 100% opened. It's a game of compromises at the end of the day and up to the owner of the car how they want to do their mods.

Think of the valve and provision for the valve in the exhaust system as a "chicane" for exhaust flow. It's going to slow things down, even if it's open all the way.

Exchange rate is making this purchase appealing...

Found myself a track! Crazy how hard these places are to find, there's one about 2 hours outside Atlanta (Silver Dollar Raceway) that I have never heard of and that never showed up in my searches before.

Real slips coming soon

Are you able to bring your tuner and laptop with you and do a baseline untuned and then throw the tune on it for a comparison?

I can try, not sure how busy the track is / how many runs I'll be able to get in. I'll try

After flashing, all the driving modes still work like factory (normal, sport, sport+, wet)?

I will start a “Fast List” with your time slips and and one other poster here. I think there are only 2 that I have seen so far. 👍🏻

Pretty much… but you can also opt for features like higher stationary rev limit, cold start delete, exhaust valves fully open. If you choose any of these options, the driving modes won’t be exactly like factory but will be improved for the better. For example, when you put the car in sport mode, or you toggle the exhaust button, you can actually hear and feel a noticeable difference in the exhaust vs. stock where the difference, for me, was extremely subtle and hard to tell anything even happened.

Any tips on how to purchase these devices in Europe ? The dealer on the site is located in Mallorca and does not respond. The only alternative is the uk and that's not ideal for import reasons... Are there any other European distributors ?
