Is anyone tuning the 992 yet?

What a silly case to make that an HP SUV isn't worth it. I wouldn't know where to start as to how ridiculous that is. I wouldn't cut loose my fast Cayenne any more than I would my 992.

It was done at an authorized dealer (Above and Beyond Performance, West Palm Beach). They did the tune remotely in the same day. I have to be the first tuned 992 Targa in the US and they were happy about that.
Drove it more today. Much faster than stock...absolutely worth the 3k. The butt dyno is telling me its very similar to my 992 TTS. TTS may launch harder but overall I think its close.
Slow rolling start (5 mph) against friends Model 3 Performance, I was probably at 95% throttle and easily pulling away at 75 mph before I bailed.
I plan to get it on the dyno when they install my lowering springs tomorrow.

The X3M Comp rips a low 3 second 0-60 in 3rd party testing which is just awesome for for a vehicle of this type. I would not consider it pointless when you consider the fact that straight line acceleration is what 95% of the people who buy these products are looking for, what happens when you step on the gas.
Somebody send this man a cookie...
The X3M Comp is surreal, the X6M I took out for a spin also shocked me given its size, especially the handling...

Fast SUV's are great and there is a huge market segment. I have a few buddies that have them and they all mod/tune them. Why because with families they either cant afford to have a dedicated fast sports car, or they plain just dont have room in the garage for one. They get as much enjoyment modding, talking about modding, arguing about modding, and internet racing as we do here in the 911 forums - and then take a kids to soccer practice.

Thank You, I recently traded a '19 base Cayenne for a '21 X5 M50i which is an extremely strong SUV, C&D got 3.8 sec. 0-60. Will have this X5 tuned soon. These high powered SUVs rock.

I think “fun” and “cool” and “worth the money” are not what I’m arguing.
I’m simply saying that I just don’t understand the reason to make what is inherently a naturally disadvantaged body style (SUV) that generally was designed for an entire different reason, really fast and powerful, when you can instead get a far, far more refined package in incorporating said speed and power into a body design that is actually meant for it (sports car).
Obviously there is a huge market for these Macans and Cayennes and X3s, so why not sell if it makes money? But that’s sort of how I see these cars.

the macan turbo is overall the better car (perfect balance - quiet, comfortable, and fast enough). the x3m comp is, of course, out-of-this-world fast and what we drive most of the time .... (yes, even my wife). however, for longer road trips we default to the macan turbo.
