How dumb are people

So when you update your IPhone, I guess it takes days to see the change.
It a computer , you change it , done!
Why do yo think tuners are plugging in at the drag strip and changing tunes instantly?

Please end this thread!

To be fair...sometimes after a major update, the phone has to reindex its database and optimize the file system before you will notice the improvements, sometimes it will even feel slower right after.

FWIW while there are immediately noticeable differences, there is also long term fuel trim adjustments that are made. In motorsports applications, not really applicable though.

The tune on my AMG turbo was immediately noticeable and it was only 40 hp or less than 10%.

Where are we at folks?

I contacted FVD recently, still no obd tune.

Has anyone cracked the code yet?

I'm not pulling the ecu, primarily since it's a pita to access.

Thanks for updating this thread.

I was thinking about this over the weekend. When I had my RS7 I had the APR tune and would have the ECU reflashed every time I went in for service at my service manager's request. They had to pull the ECU initially to do the initial tune but subsequent tunes were done via the OBS port. When I had my 981 Spyder tuned it was done as part of the Fabspeed GT420 package. The tune was custom, on the dyno, with just a Cobb OBD flash unit.

Yes, you need to speak with the service guys. Many dealers do and they will generally have one or two venders whose products they are comfortable with and recommend.

One of the dealers I spoke to said 'no'

I think it would be nice to get a tune through the dealer

I looked at the GIAC site and they're stating 60hp and 100lb-ft maximum gain on the Carrera S. Some of the other tunes are showing more hp than torque. Right now I'm thinking that on the street more torque would be the way to go. I know GIAC has good feedback with Porsches.

I would prefer the torque as well.
