Default Is anyone tuning the 992 yet?

This car could use another 100 whp. I’m sure a tune can get it there similar to the 991.2

Oh come one...

We all know Tupper is new. He's an excited new owner. He's still learning the ropes. I think you are looking for something that really isn't their. We all knew what he meant. Seems you didn't. He wasn't throwing shade on anyone. To me he was suggesting (with shock) that a turbo S would be more than enough power for most people. And I would agree. Most people cant handle a base 911 to its full potential. It has nothing to do with the owner being nuts. Be nice man.

Probably depends on whether any of the tuners have unlocked the 992.

I sure as hell have ! You know it is akin the heresy to even mention power upgrades on your new Porsche 992 while under warrenty, here on Rennlist...
But I did it anyway.
First I installed an Akropovic Exhaust and 200 cat. The Titanium metal reduces the weight by 60 lbs. Then, with the assistance of my master mechanic at Larchmere Motors of Chagrin Falls, we checked out pretty much all available ECU flash. We decided upon the AMR ECU upgrade. It offer a quantum improvement in horsepower and torque along with improving performance. Don't forget the high flow filter.
The results are remarkable, and don't just take my word for it. I had the Genius at BMW Cleveland drive it and he was blown away, but, better the instructor at my Porsche Dealer found the change to be amazing. He and I feel the the car is now transformed into a version of the 991.2 Turbo (not turbo s)
IF you want that kick in the pants that this offers you, its so worth it.
Down side cost !

AMR specs

before and after

gets you close to Turbo power

AMR contact Matt Forbes

maintain your filter

Bold moves get bold results! Good luck with the tune, myself I value my warranty so that’s not for me...the warranty is why I didn’t get a 650 hp Ferrari, actually.

I toy with the idea of a tune constantly.

But I also struggle with the notion of a warranty void.

I've been back to my Dealer twice for maintenance. They tell me that unless they can directly attribute my modification to a problem, the warrenty remains in effect. That is the law
Also this engine was made to be tuned.

I’m just itching for a obd port flash tune to be available, then I’m tuning for sure.

From what I understand, it’s super close.

That's exactly why I tuned it , see below. With all I did, the C4S is now akin to a 2019 991.2 Turbo ( not Turbo S)

Wow, I seriously don't know why anyone would need to tune a TTS. Is it not already fast enough? Are you trying to make sure you can get away from the cops? LOL

The 992 Carerra S is already plenty fast, lets not kid ourselves. We're all already worried about being able to even use this power on public roads without getting in trouble. But tuning a TTS just sounds........ABSOLUTE NUTS!

@Karl911 ok, the car is amazing congrats and the tune. 🤩 Don’t know why you would really need it, but hey just in case I guess.......

For me I love your garage floor. I find you guys over the pond always have great garages. From amazing floors likes yours to tooling and shelves/storage. I am sure you also have a nice man cave 😀😂.

I think I need to move to the US

You sound very judgmental and a bit jealous. There are many 911 Turbo/S models tuned and modified making this kind of power. Nothing wrong with that, its their car, their money, and they spend it as they see fit whether you feel that a Carrera S is "already plenty fast". No sense being critical of a guy who has the ***** and the cash to configure an absolutely awesome 911.
Enjoy the comfort, safety, and limitations of your warranty
