I haven't been on here in a while. There's a 992 T Club? And it started 2.5 years ago, well in advance of the announcement let alone delivery of the first Ts. Hmm?

mmKay.

Thread was renamed a few weeks or so ago. The "Club" is new.

I started this thread 2.5 years ago, if you read the first post you will see that it was based on the expectation that a 992T would be released, as well as some estimates of likely options and pricing. An official announcement is not needed to discuss a model, especially when all the evidence is readily at hand (read the first post).

I don’t find it strange at all, and the fact that the 992T was released and is rather popular has borne out my expectations.

The title of the thread was changed once serious deliveries started occurring, by one of the moderators. I would have labeled it rather differently, but it was not my call to make.

Cant wait to join the slideshow when I take delivery in Dec. I love checking TYD daily and being disappointed. This is going to be a long 5 months.

If you keep paging down beyond this post of mine you’ll come to the last posts in 2019 of the 991.2 gen T’s.
Amusing to see them bitching about the base stereo 🤣

Looking at a couple of them. Depends on what we can get. One has been unavailable for almost 1 year due to chip shortage and high demand. 4 channels. Compact design to hide in dash. Power rating will be higher than factory. My separate sub has 400 watt built in amp….self-contained. It’s already installed. Bass quality is better than Burmester (I recently heard it at Porsha dealer). Also, adding a processor (its small also in-dash) to fine tune everything.

Got any recommendations for a nice vinyl turn table with decent speakers that I won’t have to sell a kidney or cancel my T order for? (Only none T related question, I promise haha)
We’re not 1 dimensional beings. Lots of interests makes life more engaging like the MT T eh? Ha, with off topics I’ll try to throw in T analogies. So, a vinyl is like a T with its raw characteristics…..e.g. hearing some natural vinyl scratch noises are like hearing burbles from my T exhaust. LoL. Since it’s your first vinyl, I’d recommend a turntable/speakers package like the ones Audio Technica makes starting around $500. I prefer direct drive vs. belt drive. Folks complain that speed can be off sometimes with belt drive ones. If u get a direct drive with a pitch control, u can change the RPMs to any song to ur liking. Here’s an image of what I have showing the pitch control. I love these (yes 2 of them….1s and 2s as @dassArse mentioned). Cost is over $1,000 just for 1 turntable). U should be fine with something like AT.

Hope u liked the music in the last vid. That was for u Cali fellas. My favorite thing in my twenties…playing basketball and saltwater in the afternoon. I know it will be a painful 5 months. Making a T analogy, u can PDK it here or MT it. Regularly participate here (make it engaging like the MT)…..it will help pass the time and lessen the pain. Trust me. It will be 100% worth the wait.
Also, what an amazing X-mas gift ahead?!

Thanks guys, appreciate it. $500 is not too bad. Not sure if I'd want to spend more than $1k on something that will only get used once in a while.

Nice, we got in yesterday and wandered over there around 1430. Wonder if we saw you out there, it was definitely coming down. Looked like a lot of fun still! I should’ve PMd you to see if you guys were still in the area. Hope you had a fun drive home, we are staying in town until Saturday and then heading north to MN.

My audio guy and I tested the T system and learned that the stock speakers can handle more power. Connected a cheap pioneer amp to test and all speakers sounded better. However, Due to chip shortage, we’re delayed getting the amp I really want. Once we get it, we plan on driving the stock speakers first with a high quality amp and replace only the necessary speakers to keep costs down. The 2 easiest ones are located behind the front seats. As mentioned, the sub is in for the bass coverage. Getting there to what I hoped for overall in sound + budget. BTW, it’s all 100% reversible/removable without a trace if desired. He used a custom harness. No wires cut.
Does the stock headunit have any kind of pre-out to plug an amp into?

I've been following for some time now, and stoked to say that July 5th I'll be finally taking delivery of my IGM 911 T on July 5th at PEC ATL!!! Already have some minor cosmetic mods at home waiting to install. I'll take pics at PEC ATL, then share my T after my mods are done over the weekend! Looks like I'm the only one so far that went for Lava Orange deviated stitching! My build is fairly loaded with options, so I'm sure I'll get critiqued

Welcome and IGM with lava accents sounds like an amazing and very unique spec. Can't wait to see it.

I’m going back again this weekend to update the processor. I’ll ask him then.
