Saltwater by Geowulf. Song is about going surfing in the afternoon.
Threw that song in there for @Surfingjeff and other surfers here
wife hates the 7 speed manual already and wants me to sell this car and replace it with a PDK 911- cabriolet preferably.
Maybe I will replace it with a GT3 - lots of them available at dealers these days. But then she will complain it rides too rough and is too loud on the road.
I am thinking a PDK GTS Cabriolet would be a good substitute for the T - sneaky way of getting permission to spend even more money on a new Porsche for my little collection.
Why not go full Monty and get a Turbo cabriolet instead of the GTS? Less lag, even more "collectible". Not to mention, faster.
Arrange for a test drive, you will get "approval" in no time. Yolo it
Was in Sydney and Melbourne several years ago. It’s a major trip from New York. But I was really digging the car scene there. Folks love to mod / individualize their cars.
Thanks to everyone for the information and sharing to help me get through the waiting process.

More different a driving experience than I expected. Went from PDK to Manual, so that wasn’t a surprise (but even more fun than anticipated). However, the early days driving experience feels materially different.
DANKA! My German bro! I have a family member that’s a professor at Munchen University so I go there occasionally. Maybe we can meet up in person my next visit there. We can have a mini cars & coffee in Munchen.
Also, I agree with ur comments on the autobahn. Frustrating to drive it sometimes with folks blocking the road and too many slow speed zones LoL.
Yes, can do. I have relatives, outside München.
We can try Dorsia, on a Friday maybe. Great sea urchin ceviche!

@tarheeljim
You changed the alloys too?!
They are pretty, but a little more work to clean right? I had them on my Macan.
Also went full body kit I notice

It's 20 years ago so time fades some of the memories but no doubt that car was alive at the top end (similar to current GT3's I guess) but the T has much more punch lower down the rev range for sure. The other immediate impression is that the 992 just has so much more mechanical grip and just feels so completely planted. Drove that 996 on track a few times so will have to wait to take the T on track to compare near or at the limit.
That is great to know, I hope you update us when you track it. I know there are differences of course like the fact that the GT3 had the Mesger engine and dry sump, and all is naturally aspirated, but I am still interested in how you think they compare.
I am planning to track my T but I will not have anything to compare it to as it will be my first Porsche.
