Sports Exhaust can be activated a few ways... If you turn the chrono dial on the wheel to sport, it turns it on (In sport plus it is also on, but stops it from making the burble/backfire noises)
You can also have the car in normal mode, and use the toggle switch on the dash to just turn the exhaust on..
You can also have the car in sport mode and use the toggle to quickly turn the exhaust off (NO one would ever do this haha)

I just like to have it easy access on the toggle because sometimes ill hit the button to turn it on in normal mode if im on a rough road... without it, you have to click through a bunch of buttons on the screen to find it

Where is this option? Is it "Exclusive Design Tailpipes in Silver"?

I see what you mean. See these two pics:

ABOVE: Exclusive Design Tailpipes in Silver selected. Notice second button from the left, which appears to be the exhaust button.

ABOVE: Without Exclusive Design Tailpipes in Silver selected. Notice different button, second from left.

Adam: I NEVER like exterior color painted on the interior. But this somehow works for me. I guess I can't say "never" any more.

ADAM: My opinion is if you bring the exterior color inside, leave the seat belts black. Again, just my $0.02.

I don't have any personal experience, but Nick Murray (hopefully I'm thinking of the right person) mentioned the color-matched interior pieces are really plasticy and cheap looking.

Agree on interior.. IM personally leaning towards a Ruby Star exterior with Black interior and Yellow Seat belts... My SA gave me a lot of "feedback" when I originally tested out Ruby Star with black seats, Red Belts and Red Sport Chrono face... I think Guards red belts go with with Ruby Star on the exterior, but a few people have commented otherwise... what do people think?? Ruby star with black seats and yellow belts or Ruby Star with black seats and red belts (possibly add red sport chrono face/yellow sport chrono face to match and red fire extinguisher)
Chiming in to provide my support for Ruby Star, Black, with Yellow belts. I love that look! Agree that red belts would clash. A yellow fire extinguisher would be nice if you can match the color well enough.

I think it can work, but it really depends. I did a ride along with someone in their yellow 981 Boxster and it felt a little like McDonalds Play Place for some reason. Plasticy and cheap looking, indeed.

Thanks for Posting these Adam, this is the exact thing I was referring to. Of course, could always be a glitch, but I would not be surprised if this was legit...

Thank you everyone else for the feedback... Ive got some thinking to do on these colors, but Ruby, Black and Yellow is the right combo, just comes down to how much of each color I want to go with now.

@toph4242 For the love of all things, please don't do exterior color matched interior color trim pieces.

But then it's your, so you do you.

But man, you've been warned.

The standard T trim pieces are the same plastic, just piano black I believe

Hahah thank you for your concern... I'll settle this right now. Im going Ruby Star, Black interior, Standard Trim, Yellow Belts, bucket seats and Race Tex Wheel and Shifter. No color matched trim (I have to say though, for some reason Ruby does not look bad compared to other colors... but Im not going to do it)

OK, just for the record. I'm Messien Blue, 5 spoke forged wheels, side skirts (always had a weak spot for skirts), special tailights with no red, rear wheel steering, Interior, buckets (please), cargo net, smoke package (I don't), rear seat delete, base radio, prefer interior paint to match, but not looking good at this point. May consider sport package front and rear but, that gets the price up close to GTS territory. Anything I'm missing and why? Thanks,

OK, I'll play - I'm white , standard wheels, with full leather lizard stitch and racetex wheel, RAS, add back seats, 7MT. If they add PCCB will add that and change interior to full black.

Rear of cabin capacity question: Having never owned a 911 and waiting for my T allocation, I'm tempted to order it without rear seats in the hopes it will accommodate luggage better. There will never be more than 2 people in this car so I don't care if there aren't seating spaces back there. I anticipate keeping this car forever too so resale is not an issue. Anyone know if rear capacity goes up when the seats come (stay?) out? TIA

I owned a 996, have driven 991's, and ridden in 997's. I've had smaller people in the back seat--it's a stretch. Without the seats you'll have more space, but it's a bit of an awkward space. I really liked the rear seats folded down as it more stably held a duffel bag, a pizza, or a wide box of donuts :-). I'll keep the rear seats in the T for this very reason. While I will be tracking it, I won't be installing a cage and don't think I would notice the low weight the rear seats would add.

Depending on the shape of the luggage, with or without seats may be better. I find them useful enough and not as seats.

Just based on eyeballing pictures of the GT3 rear space vs a regular 992, it does seem like you get a bit more storage volume without the seats. Theres still the tunnel running through the middle so you kind of get two areas where the seats would normally be and then a flat shelf up above. The fact that the rear seats fold to make a shelf is what makes me okay optioning them since thats how I'll keep them most of the time anyways. They will probably get some use when I have kids, and can always be removed like I did with my C63.

I don’t have rear seats in my 991.2T and if you’re talking like 2 more inches of space, then yes there is more but you lose the fold down tray which as stated is IMO more useful. The transmission tunnel runs between the seats which is the biggest problem for useable space. But for LWBS, when they are offered, you’ll be hard pressed to get anything in there without damaging the seats…and forget about ever cleaning that rear window unless you’re a contortionist.
