Probably not the answer you're looking for but I'll share my thoughts anyways. These days I don't find myself listening to music or anything really while driving so as long as the occasional phone call over bluetooth/carplay comes through clear I think I will be happy with the base audio.
Burmeister in a T over leather doesn't make sense to me. I would get the leather over Burmeister in a T (with reduced sound deadening so you can hear the engine and the road, not the audio system).

In the spirit of keeping the T build below $140k, I would likely forgo full leather in favor of Burmester (Bose does not appear to be offered). Thoughts?
I don't have experience yet with the 992, but I had the base system in my 996 (1999 model, so a couple decades off the comparison), the BOSE system in a 2006 Cayman S, and the base system in my 2015 Macan S. The Macan is probably the one of most concern because the flat-sixes in the other two were the best aural experience overall--didn't usually have music on it--just Waze watching for speed traps. The system in the Macan is plenty good for me for a vehicle. I have KEF speakers at home and a few different pairs of audiophile headphones. If I'm in the T someday, I'm just experiencing the car.

Honestly the noise-floor is so high in a sports car I don't have high demand for good audio since I'm typically not sitting in my sports car with the engine off to listen to music. The lessened sound deadening of the T makes this even more strong a point. I'm going to go with base on the T because I feel the $5k on the Burmester to be a bit tricky to justify. I just want to hear the flat-six while we can still run them :-)

I currently have a 992 with the Bose system, but a friend has the base... My experience was that the difference was noticeable, but not huge... Burmeister is a whole different beast (but is it really the best way to spend $5K?? depends on your commitment to great sound). Im skipping it and going with the Base Sound personally. If it was available i'd probably talk myself into Bose again but not worried about the base sound

I would do a radio delete if it was available. Hell, I'd delete AC, heat, headlights and turn signals if they'd let me! LOL

The Burmester actually does make difference even with the noisy nature of this type of car. I bought a 718 spyder used with Burmester. To my surprise, you can really tell the difference between the Bose on my 718 gt4 and this on the spyder. I owned both in the same time.

But I I do have to say if you tend listen with low volume while driving... there is not much point to get the Burmester. Base system should serve the job enough.

Burmester would be a waste on a car like the T.

Thanks for the comments guys, you're really helping me in my decision-making process on audio system as well.

I have burmester in my 991.2 T and it really makes a difference in this cabin, which is similar in design to the 718s too. Bose in my 992 was noticeably better than Bose in my 991 so I would have gone that route instead. Not sure if I can do base audio with what I’m used to there.

I also have Bose in my current 992 S and I'm surprised by how good it sounds. Current car is a cabriolet cruiser however.

I'm with @AdamIsAdam and would delete the T's radio if possible. The T is about a visceral driving experience.

If I ever find the want for music I'll just use my ear pods.

If I want to hear music, I'll take a different car that day! lol I had a Cobra. Suffice it to say, the music to my ears came from the car, not the non-existent music. I never understand why people even put radios in those cars.

I'm #2 on the T list at a local dealer with a $1000 deposit.

Is the SPASM on the T the same height as the GTS? The press release says -10mm but the press release for the GTS talked about -20mm. On the fence about FAL. I need it on my 991 GT3 but I'd love to skip it on the T if possible.

I am not thrilled with the contrast stitching choices in the T interior packages. I would end up going with Lizard Green as the Gray doesn't have enough contrast for me. Other than Python exterior, what other non-PTS colors would compliment the LG interior stitching? White? GT Silver?

Any idea if the LW glass on the T is the same as the GT3?

I'm having the same dilemma about colors. My wife suggested the green interior accents with a black car and then if I want more pop, add matching green pinstriping to the 911T door decals and over the top stripe. But I really don't want a black car for obvious OCD reasons. I like how the white looks, but it's sorta plain. So I'm thinking of going all in on the green and getting Python Green with the matching green interior. After all, it's a launch color. But a green car? gulp. lol.

Alternatively, go with the stock interior and P1 inserts of your color choice in the buckets... IF WE GET THE BUCKETS!

Suspension is a maze to navigate... my understanding is T is 10mm lower than standard Carrera.. GTS is 20mm lower, but if you select the Active suspension option vs. sport suspension option for GTS it RAISES it 10mm to be at the same height as the T... but as standard it is 20mm lower than a base Carrera.

Agree on interior.. IM personally leaning towards a Ruby Star exterior with Black interior and Yellow Seat belts... My SA gave me a lot of "feedback" when I originally tested out Ruby Star with black seats, Red Belts and Red Sport Chrono face... I think Guards red belts go with with Ruby Star on the exterior, but a few people have commented otherwise... what do people think?? Ruby star with black seats and yellow belts or Ruby Star with black seats and red belts (possibly add red sport chrono face/yellow sport chrono face to match and red fire extinguisher)

My order is in and the SA believes we'll get clarification on PTS (Meissen Blue) and Buckets over the next 45 days or so. The car does not freeze until Jan 19th. Production Feb 2nd. Arrive Jacksonville Mar 24. To help keep my sanity until lock I have a backup T planned in GT Silver with a few different options than the PTS car.
