@Newto911's and @Barkat03 Make sure your dealer would still buy back your car in the future if you change the factory sound system. Mine (Tonbridge) actually made it clear that they wouldn't.

I went for the full body PPF, (includes door sills - excludes lights, windscreen) and it came out at £5k, saving £1k on the price Porsche quoted.
I think it's around half that for the front, sides etc etc.
I highly recommend them. They get 5* from 73 opinions on Google...

thanks for the reference, @ Bark at #03 (is that what your alias mean?)

I will call them, as I also want a double stripe across the top, which probably should go first.

@Graeme's T , are you planning to fit a ghetto blaster?

Surely, sound system should be a modular accessory.

Music for me is a huge part of driving when I'm not pushing or on long drives on motorways etc so when Bose wasn't available I bit the bullet and paid for Burmester. I'm just passing on what my dealer said. If yours is cool about you upgrading then go for it. I was just trying to warn you to check first.

I didn’t mean to come across offensive, @Graeme's T

i get that dealers don’t want us to rip into the wiring or cut large holes in the trim, but there should be non-invasive / non-damaging ways of installing decent audio. I am beginning to think that Burn-cash-meister is more cost effective than decent aftermarket system.

No offense taken!

I think you've hit the nail on the head. Even if you have a dealer who is happy to take back a car with an aftermarket sound system you are going to be paying similar or possibly more that the price of Burmester. For many the stereo isn't a big deal but for me it is so I stumped up. It's just incredibly frustrating that Bose wasn't available for MY23.

I think we all felt the same with the Bose, I just couldn’t justify that level of extra cash. Maybe an error. Was hoping someone would come up with a speaker swap or something. I certainly wouldn’t do anything that alters the look in any way. In fact probably wouldn’t mention an upgrade when I came to sell. If the bloody Shiny Blue thing would turn up so I could hear it a decision could be made. Never been so frustrated over a new car arriving.

This 911 is a sexy car.
Maybe it’s the big hips, maybe it’s the low front, maybe it’s the beautiful curves or maybe it’s the combination of all that?
Anyway I’ll stop now as I’m getting all emotional and if my wife sees this she’ll get jealous.
@Barkat03
Hilarious comment about wifey and u nailed it on it being SEXY. Share a tidbit. I’m going to limit how much I say on a public forum. For decades, I’ve had close acquaintances that are car designers. Collectively, they’ve designed some famous concept cars. When together, we talk cars non-stop. SEXY is exactly how they describe the 911. They all love the design of classic Ferraris, Lambos, Bugattis, Porshas, etc. and often use the word sexy. When it comes to the modern iterations, they always say the 911 is currently most sexy. Every one of them owns at least one 911. One fella still owns 4 versions. They love how they went wide on the 992 rear end like the 930 turbo. Bringing sexy back…ha, like that Justin Timberlake song. For me, it’s my first Porsha…thought about getting a GT4 but then came to my senses. U are spot on with the design description!

Congrats! Perfect color to cruise around in at Coronado Island.

Thanks for the feedback. I just put 120 miles on it before I leave now for cars and Coffee. So far I'm digging it. Here's my short review:
-too much technology
-911 is sexy as hell
- turbo engine feels great even while keeping it bellow 4,000 RPMs, mostly.
- it's still drives like a 911. Lift induced oversteer. Lol
- exhaust needs more volume. I have the car graphic valve controller to go in. I hope that's enough but I don't think so.
- My GTS 4.0 sounds way better.
- 911 is sexy as hell
- Cayman Probably handles better too. More on that later. Most of my driving was more or less highway and some back roads.
-I definitely like the manual 6-speed better than the 7 speed.
- 911 is sexy as hell
- speaking of seven speeds, it's very easy to accidentally go into third instead of 5th. Speaking for a friend.

And lastly, the 911 is sexy as hell

I know an audiophile who considerably improved sound quality in a Cayman, which is a budget version of Carrera, so we must have a greater margin to improve. I will compare notes and do some stealth improvements that OPC doesn’t need to know about.

It will not be a Martin of London level of quality, but much better than standard cardboard and plastic cones equipment.

But first… where is my 992 T? I need to get it out of Emden! 😵‍💫
