I would like to see a bronze wheel option. Goes great with shark blue.

I jumped on this pretty fast with my dealer. My demand order is in and I got a nice email from Porsche N. America that said thanks for your order! That must be new since I didn’t get a confirmation email when the GT4 order was entered.
hopefully we get more info on allocation timing soon.

Anyone planning on doing PTS? It's a lot of coin for sure, especially on a relatively low MSRP model, PTS is ~10% of the base T's MSRP. But perhaps for the T model deserves it?!

I think a low optioned T is the way to go - keep it back to basics and simple as can be. But PTS is very tempting - love signal or Bahama yellow. My 991.2T was racing yellow which I liked but not as much as signal, speed or Bahama. Although racing yellow is one of the 'free' colors, so keeping the MSRP as low as possible also fits the T ethos.

I agree with you 6 Sigma: Carrera T best with light options (literally and figuratively). I am going with PTS which when matched well
with the agate grey trim is extremely attractive and sporty. PTS is pricey, but I believe will retain its value.
In fact, I am changing my order from a base, which was to be delivered in Feb.,
to a Carrera T, and am paying only $2800 more (even with adding RAS) because of how many things I
am not ordering because they are included in the T. (silver window trim, GT wheel, mirrors in body color)
I also am not ordering leather interior, and Sport Chrono is of course included.

However, for limited production cars (i.e. GTX cars), it doesn't make much of a difference since Porsche KNOWS exactly how many of those cars they will produce, sometimes years in advance. However, I have heard that Porsche is trying to clamp down on Dealer shenanigans by telling dealers to use demand orders for GT cars as well. That way they can track whom is ordering these cars and if they are a dealer-connected-flipper. Hence why now when a demand order is created, its attached to an actual customer account (hence the email).
For the T, It's likely not a limited production car and Porsche will actually appreciate and use the demand orders coming in so they can try to build them. IMO, if you want a T, go to your dealer and ask for them to create a demand order. Even if you walk away from the allocation slot that just means more T's for the rest us.
Take these facts with a grain of salt! These are just rumors and off-comments I have heard over the years. I often don't know what I am talking about, my wife likes to remind me!

I was debating PTS and if it's worth the money on this car. I know that my Shark Blue CGTS is a show-stealing color, so color really matters. But ultimately, there wasn't a color that I wanted $11k worth (but Gulf Orange was a front-runner for me). I feel I'll get more enjoyment out of an Aero package for less money. I've decided (for today) on white with Aero, and I'll add matching Agate Over the top racing stripe (and maybe PORSCHE billboard decal on spoiler since vinyl is light lol). In the all black interior with LWBuckets, I'm going to add P1 houndstooth inserts. I'm not even getting colored belts or gauges, so that saves money. Sticking with the "less is more" lightweight theme of this car. I hope I love it!

Are those dates your SA's estimates or are they any more official? I'm also V070 and received my Porsche welcome email and video, but no dates were given.

Does anyone know the gear ratios on the 7 speed manual? And the final drive gear ratio?
is this tranny and rear the same that's in the S? I'd like to find a chart showing max MPH in each gear and maybe the gear ratios as well.

Anyone still hung up on ordering a T vs an S. My builds are only $13K apart in price, not a huge price change in the grand scheme of things. Granted you get bigger brakes and bigger turbo on the S. The problem is will I find myself wanting to upgrading brakes and turbo down the line anyways if I go with the T? Such a tough decision.

I'm sticking with Mr. T. I like the whole, less is more theme. Lighter, maybe more collectible, possibly more fun on the street. I looked up the specs and the Base is the same or better than my CGTS4.0, which is fantastic. The "smaller" brakes are still impressive brakes. And smaller = less unsprung weight at every corner, which should pay dividends in driving feel. If I really want more HP later, a tune can easily get 100+ hp is seems. For me, I'll leave it stock for the warranty factor though.
Are the T and S builds similarly optioned at $13k difference?
