Perhaps, though, this is one instance where the intervention of the rule book didn’t play the ultimate role in stopping a piece of technology being used. Maybe it just wasn’t a big enough step forward?

Isn't' every driver aid in F1 meant to make "cars go faster"?
Like I can't imagine a team fitting their cars with, say, a cupholder? Or a Bose stereo.
Not a lot of F1 fans in here. There are tons of regulations that were there to make the cars slower. Google is your friend here. One of the biggest changes in F1 was getting away from slicks back in the day, which they 'un-banned' years later. Again, that RAS article is anecdotal at best and it's based on 30 year old tech.
Maybe not a lot of F1 fans on here but the popularity of the sport in the USA is hugely on the increase!
2023 will see 3 Grand Prix in the US!
In 2021 there was only one.
If I recall last year’s US race was a huge sellout as well.

If I am dating myself correctly...your 1996 alpine didn't have a **** for volume...those were dark days for Alpine and therefore not comparable to your Burmester!

If it were me, I'd ditch the ambient lighting and add Lizard Green dial for Chrono to make the dash pop-awful lot of black everywhere on that car.
I have a hardback marketing book for the 991.2 T that I think captures the ethos pretty well. I believe this still applies to the 992 T. I like how they call out specifically this is not for the collector, but for the driver. I was impressed that the early 991.2 T press drives were done in the mountains with cars on winter tires.

According to my dealer around 50% of them have climate control (heating) issues. Second hand market has plunged as a result of that and cold weather range reduction anxiety.
Just sold mine at a big loss with just 409 miles on the clock😞

Of course. What I was referring to is the comment on F1 aids meant to make them faster. That's not true at all. Therefore not being a fan, not knowing this. Not meant as an insult by any means. F1 has been slowing cars down all the time. The most recent, slowing down the pit stops tire changes.

Correct. They weren't too dark, the buttons were lit. LOL.
