That's not true. It was banned. I posted on this before. It's comparing old tech to new tech and what a few drivers said at the time. Nothing scientific.

There's a reason it's standard on a GT3 RS and was on the 918 spyder.

They didn’t use it in Adelaide or Suzuka. Schumacher ran it in testing on Friday morning at Suzuka, and then turned the system off.

But Benetton’s failure to find any advantage with the system didn’t change the FIA’s decision to ban it.

Perhaps, though, this is one instance where the intervention of the rule book didn’t play the ultimate role in stopping a piece of technology being used. Maybe it just wasn’t a big enough step forward?
I can understand arguments for and against RAS, but digging up stuff from the 90s of the first RAS on an F1 car versus tech literally 30 years later on a 911 is mind boggling to me. Let's start comparing my Alpine system from 1996 to the Burmester in the 992.

Not a lot of F1 fans in here. There are tons of regulations that were there to make the cars slower. Google is your friend here. One of the biggest changes in F1 was getting away from slicks back in the day, which they 'un-banned' years later. Again, that RAS article is anecdotal at best and it's based on 30 year old tech.

Maybe not a lot of F1 fans on here but the popularity of the sport in the USA is hugely on the increase!
2023 will see 3 Grand Prix in the US!
In 2021 there was only one.
If I recall last year’s US race was a huge sellout as well.
All thanks to Netflix

If I am dating myself correctly...your 1996 alpine didn't have a **** for volume...those were dark days for Alpine and therefore not comparable to your Burmester!

FIRST RENNLIST POSTER REVIEW!!

I look forward (enviously) to seeing the first review of their new car by a Rennlist poster.
Needs to start with the unveiling at the dealer, followed by the drive home first impressions.
If I can’t be first (I can’t - March 17th) then at least I can partly offset it by seeing someone else’s joy and happiness.
Oh and don’t forget some pics of all the gorgeous local ladies suddenly checking you out when previously they’d totally ignored you😄👍

@Zetta what color is the main body of the car and the paint sample next to the black roof?

Does anyone have real world pics/vids of the Standard $0 Seats (w/ Checkered Sport-Tex Seat Centers)?
Hard to find anything other than standard marketing material
Cheers.
If it were me, I'd ditch the ambient lighting and add Lizard Green dial for Chrono to make the dash pop-awful lot of black everywhere on that car.

Here is where I am right now, but also strongly considering white with the green T interior package with basically the same options.

Of course. What I was referring to is the comment on F1 aids meant to make them faster. That's not true at all. Therefore not being a fan, not knowing this. Not meant as an insult by any means. F1 has been slowing cars down all the time. The most recent, slowing down the pit stops tire changes.

Correct. They weren't too dark, the buttons were lit. LOL.
I wasn't comparing it to Burmester at all.
