992 Carrera T Club

I asked my SE about the T 2 weeks ago now, he looked at me and said.. "well the Macan T is here so it's only a matter of time" ..keeping things very tight and concealed.
I'll do some more PI work when in the dealership on 1st Sept to collect my Cayman GTS 4.0.

I am not very hopeful of seeing anything in the near term regarding the T, it just doesn't seem to make sense in the current environment. They cant satisfy demand as it is.
Hopefully, I am wrong.

I have an order for a 992 GTS manual, placed in May this year. LONG time to delivery from what I'm told. In the mean time I picked up a 991.2 T and in all honesty would consider changing my order to this model. It's all the 911 anyone who drives exclusively on the road would ever need. We are in a golden age of automobiles and have become obsessed with cars that simply can't be used to their potential on public roads. My humble opinion of course.

Got it..its the sweet spot but then again so is just putting the manual transmission into the base car 992 and offering that? Porsche after 3 yrs now since release (992's 1st graced us with their presence in 2019 model) and Porsche AG still will not even grant those of us who want a manual base that satisfaction. So it amazes me the number of folks in this thread who keep insisting that the Carrera T is almost here..will be made when it seems that Porsche has other thoughts from a business standpoint as well as production one. Especially since they can currently get those who want a manual (such as myself) to pony up fro an S or GTS at a higher price point as well. WIN! WIN! for them so why again are they gonna drop a Carrera T again I just cannot see yet. Just my 2 cents/analysis as a non Carrera T owner/driver but lover of the brand and all things 911 also!

I can now agree, as when I was recently at my UK dealership collecting my new 718 I was advised that any 992 order now placed will be a 992.2, due next spring.
as usual the first models will be S, Base & Targa with Turbo later then GTS & T to follow even later.
so unfortunately we're looking around 2025 for a 992T & GTS.
On the back of this I have placed an order for a Targa 4S.
I look forward to still having a T but i can enjoy my 718 4.0 & Macan GTS a little longer now

It has to be the 991.2 now doesn’t it. I’m happy enough with that.
I emailed my OPC last week and was told to keep the faith it’s definitely coming no more than that.
Im in no rush and quite seriously may just keep my 991T as it’s really got under my skin.

What's a 3 year wait when it's a 2 year wait for a Macan now
we're lucky we have some excellent cars to drive in the meantime!

I built a 2019 Carrera T and put 24,000 miles on it. I wish I never sold it as it was perfect. I lowered it via KW adjustable springs. Akrapovic cats and pipe and left it alone. No tune was needed. It had 393hp to the wheel. So just under 450 hp. Solid it for 92k 🤦🏼♂️ Against 992 gt3 build.

Exactly the same here, I was told there's a few deposits now down for the T so there's people interested, if that's reciprocated across all dealerships then the demand is there for a T.

I hold no illusions of a 992 T being a 992.1. It would quite frankly shock me. I guess my point was more along the lines of "Do I REALLY need a GTS?" rather than stating its arrival is imminent. All I know is that when it comes time and my order becomes an actual CAR, I may have a difficult decision to make. I spent 14 years in the 97 993 I just sold (and 12 in the 95 I sold in 2018) so spending an extra year or two in my current "T" won't bother me too much.
