I would still do it, likely at an Indy shop if they won’t cover.

for sure I will do at 10k or one year... What I meant is should I do one before that on my own after a break-in period.... SA says don't and no need...

I had the oil changed at 1,000 miles. Now I change the oil every 2500 miles on my 992T. I don't think its a waist of money at all.

Has anyone lowered their T on springs or installed spacers? The wheel-to-body is a little off...especially in the front.

is there no break in oil change? For the m3s and m4s I’ve had they all required a break in oil change at 1-2k km.

Porsche doesn't require it. The first official oil change is at 10k miles or 1 year.

A lot of us who are mechanically sympathetic, have done it much earlier.

2500? Is that annual or regardless of time?

I'm the first one to propose early oil changes, but 2500miles on modern oils is definitely excessive unless you're tracking hard or you don't drive much.

Just do a search. Plenty of spacer and spring threads on this forum.

@Fishah 2000-2500 miles is my oil change interval since I track the car 1-2 times/month and street drive alot of miles. 18k miles and 25 track days in 12 months of ownership Even if I didn't track the car I do the same on my other car. Makes the car drive smoother IMO.

This is probably the exception, just saying. I probably won't see more than 4000 miles a year but I'm doing the annual change for the next two years as it is paid for. After that, I'll think more carefully based on real world information available...there are many professionals that have weighed in on this. Oil samples from a car that's had 3K miles in a year have been done. Do the research for yourself and make a choice.

In Germany the 992.1 is sold out already.

@1stgear You’re gonna have to replace the muffler for better sound.

Porsche app indicated my oil was low. As suspected, unreliable app. Here’s the manual info on oil change recommend.

It’s Foto Friday….come on now…anyone else?

New Manhattan apartment…older T sitting in front…

My T is so so fun! 😆
