Still buying BMWs? A friend in my development just bought a ‘24 X3 in gray. Nice SUv, we go see the genius this Friday, I told him I’d go with to help with all the confusion. 😵‍💫

He removed the cup holder. The ashtray/cup goes in the cupholder. There is only one part to the smoking package, it is the ashtray/cup

Edit: Every new 992 in the U.S. comes with the cup holder and the cubby. They are easily interchangeable, all you do is pull up.

No… Thoroughly read the thread, more specifically my post above.

Edit: iDrive 7 in your friend’s G01 X3 is a breeze to use. There should be a little to no confusion. He would absolutely despise iDrive 8/8.5/9 that is now in everything else new from BMW.

I’m 63 been driving since I was 16, I want fluff and comfort when I need it. Older 911s are spartan, raw for a driver focus run, new ones like our ‘24 911T with adjustable settings give us both. As for raw, my first car was an LT-1 350 Muncie 4 speed Z28 Camaro….talk about raw! You young whippersnappers have no idea what raw is! 🧐

ok, my smoking pkg that came free fits in the cup holder. It top pulls out as in your picture with the exposed clips. I also have another open tray that came with the car too. (So in total I have 3 parts - ashtray, cup clip tray and open tray). My SA told me it came with both options. Not sure where we go from here but I’m good.

I am in my early 50s and I am the total opposite. If want fluff and comfort I am certainly not purchasing a 911 nor a Cayman or Boxster.

Older 911s being spartan is a significant advantage in my opinion. There is a lot to be said for an analog driving experience.

You know I’m kidding with you right? Wait didn’t you just buy a ‘24 911T? You thus have comfort options! ✌️

Got a lead on a T that has landed and is available. Give my SA a call, Tony Taylor, 847-933-7726. IMO one of the best.

Pictures are up in their website:

Definitely not me. I am in the U.S. and I previously posted inquiring if the owner was here. We have yet to receive a reply so I guess not. They originally posted in the T Facebook group though.

@N3DXT Hi Hope you are really enjoying the Carmen Red T and putting on the miles. I can't find your post I'm afraid, But looking today, the prices are back on the UK configurator. 97K opening shot still! One thing I noticed but have previously missed, is that the T is the only Carrera that no engine power is specified.
Engine out put is quoted for the Carrera and Carrera 4 @385 ps. I wonder if that means it really is closer to 400 as many on these threads think , given the way it goes? Does the same go for the USA configurator ? Answer from you guys across the pond?
Best Devon Racer.

@Green_Tea I did have the painted interior trim on my first car (see Pics) and rather regret not doing it again. In IGM it lightens the interior though I was told by the OPC it can reflect badly on the windscreen in certain lights depending on the day. Mint Green might have been a bit over powering ??? But then again you are a brave man with an even braver wife ! Best Devon Racer.

@ixxiT Welcome and thrilled for you that you have your new T after such a long wait. Sure you can't wait to give her a blast up the Hume Highway ?
Interesting that your market gets the same standard dash as the USA, where as in the UK all cars come with leather dash and door capping's.
I would have thought been a RHD market also the specs might have tallied. Anyway enjoy you will find the connection between driver and car sublime.
My car is also IGM good choice. You will have read the RAS argument here on this thread, but it is personal.
Best Devon Racer.

Maybe it would have been too much? We both liked the interior ‘as is’ when we saw and sat in it at the reveal.
The guards red belts liven things up. Red RS door pulls are under consideration.
Some intriguing pictures from the PPF process below, not the finished article I trust.
