Anyone here our new Ruby Star neighbor in Southborough Mass????

What is even more strange is that I am also from Southborough, MA and I have a Rubystar 992T and this is NOT my car, as I have the "911" badge on the back. I thought I was unique! guess I need to trade in for another 992 PTS color now!
This must be a visitor as I have for sure never seen another Rubystar around... There are 2 others that have sold in MA that I know of and both from Boston or neighboring town, so probably just someone visiting

This is the best of the worst from I am told. Dealer minimum and mandatory watch purchase on a watch that has no value. If they made me buy a pate or a Rolex id be ok with it not some crap watch they slap a Porsche logo on.

Being so new I dont have any relationshipsnad they seem to get grabbed up if I dont want it, someone else will.

it is bull, what is a commission number? its so stressful and shouldnt be!

Are you struggling to make up you mind between a GT3RS and a T as I suspect many of you are??

Hopefully this will help

Like others have suggested, it would be best for you to locate another dealer whom is willing to accommodate you. The market is softening, this includes 992 Ts. There are many dealers that are willing to sell at a flat MSRP with no stipulations/adds.

Well, you are still the only one in Southborough, we are actually in Hopkinton, just up the hill from Southville Rd at Bridge St where this car was. Be sure to wave!

I feel your pain and disgust. I had a similar experience minus the requirement to buy a watch. That was, however, one year ago and it sounds like the market is different. Nevertheless, don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater. You have a pretty nice build and 24K in options is not excessive. In fact, it’s pretty standard. RAS and FAL are controversial. I have both and am very glad I have them. As someone else mentioned, I would add more interior leather.
You will forget your disgust the moment you drive your new T.

Hey folks, I’m just across the Southboro border in N Framingham. Let’s have a 992 meet up sometime!

I often find it amusing why people like you would let the dealership dictate the buying experience, especially this will be your first Porsche, and with your hard-earned money. The whole point of ordering a car to your own spec is part of the experience buying a Porsche. Don't let the dealership ruin that. I seriously would go somewhere else. The worst thing is to go through their process and you end up not liking the car. Sounds like the experience is already not that great. Take the business elsewhere!

Well if you hear many different things there is always this logic: it makes sense to build up revs as you go. How can that be worse than doing 4000rpm for a very long time and then suddenly blasting at 7500rpm. Just doesn’t make much sense does it? My dealer advices to warm up the car and then just enjoy yourself. The break-in is mainly from a legal perspective. I take it a bit less than the dealer advices. I don’t see how this logic doesn’t stand. Building up things slowly is an advice which counts in life as a general for many things.

I think you could say that about Laphroaig 10 and some others. Lagavulin has smoke, peat, salinity, but its very nicely mellowed and balanced imo. My favorite of all single malts.

I dont't disagree BUT if you live in an affluent or generally car focused area like I do in S. Florida it is not easy at all to get a damn car. Would dit be great if we can spec it online and buy it like I did for my wife's Tesla? Uh yeah, thats obviously the goal however it is simply not possible nor will it for a long, long time
