992 Carrera T Club
this is exactly what I use to do when I lived in Northern Virginia over the last past 30 yrs used on my BMWs. Fairfax County and DC were also big on front plate enforcement. Usually by the parking meter police, almost never by a drive by. So the flip under plate holder is a good option too, drive with the front plate hidden, displayed when parking. If the latter option is viable, it’s a great way to have a clean front bumper look.

Weekend outing
Managed to put some miles on this weekend. Now at just under 250. Obviously keeping under 4000 rpm restricts progress, but not entirely as one can still rip along at a fare old pace. There is ample performance for the road and the torque from this turbo engine is in abundance just where needed.
The handling and turn in is crisp and as stated elsewhere the mechanical grip is to die for. There is some thumping from the rear wheels over bad surfaces on these uk roads, but not enough yet in my view to unsettle the cars composure. One thing I discovered this evening is the PDLS Plus lights I specified are absolutely brilliant. They dip automatically instantaneously and don't appear to annoy other on coming motorists which is a great relief. I have not found the car too noisy (note @Wilder all ok on that front for me thanks!) but then I am quite deaf. The 18 ways are perfect for my slim frame so pleased I spec'd them.
Haven't noticed this mirror wind noise issue mentioned in the video review perhaps being RHD makes a difference.? So far overall couldn't be happier -more miles needed. Haven't had time to get round all the computer functions, but agree, that having to reselect the driver modes each time is a bit of a bore. However, when I attend the master class in the New year I am sure there must be a way of saving them in the individual mode.
Have a great Christmas Guys and safe travels.
Best Devon Racer.

sorry for the noob question but where do you see the status of your build? When I go to TYD I see a delivery date but I don’t see those V codes that people reference
also, when you mention your spec going into V170 are you changing your spec directly in the configurator or via your dealer? My assumption was that once your build is confirmed and delivery date set, you have to work directly with your SA to make changes before the freeze date.

(2) Normally once he submits your spec, the system will give him a V200 (which means no problems found) or a lower code like V170 (where mine is now because I added in the Smoking Package, the Leather around the steering column and I selected a different deviated stitching just for the key race-tex holder). One of these changes has caused my order to go V170 and my lock in date is Tuesday, so he's hopeful that PAG will tell him tomorrow what is not allowed in my spec.

Which probably came into service about the same time as the 911, though didn’t stay in service as long.

Is it a must have?
Absolutely not. In fact, for most user cases, it's a must not have.
If you're aiming for a "pure 911 experience" it's a must pass.
RAS makes it feel less like a 911 and more like a 718.
RAS makes it feel more synthetic and less analog or "pure".
RAS is great if you're going to track the car often. That's the only user case that makes sense.
Even the small radius parking argument is nonsense. These are small cars with a small turning radius.
YMMV

I personally would not skip it.
