The love for rear wheel steering is interesting. New 911 S/T comes without it. Think its weight/purist related?

For me, it's all about simplicity on the T. Back to basics.

@Fishah I beg to differ since that and the 18 ways are the only add on weight options on my car.
I only took them because it's the only way you can get leather in a T that I wanted I don't like sport -tex so it's just choice not I think a travesty !

It's definitely most important to get what you like!

The answer you are seeking is available at 4:55 and directly from the head of Porsche’s GT Dept and can be found in multiple YouTube interviews.

I was kind of bummed that mine was optioned with the ventilated seats until the car arrived, I really like the way they work and frankly while maybe boring, I like the look.

I'm kind of surprised you can't just deactivate RAS through the PCM.... Can you?

You can deactivate it in the configurator

This has been discussed several times in this thread, and numerous other places on RL. RAS is polarizing, far from universally loved. And it was stated Porsche skipped it on the S/T for both weight and driving feel.

That's not a T issue, that's a 992 issue. Imagine how you'd feel with a heavier 992 variant.

I owned several 996's. I miss the smaller size, but I'll take the 992's looks and performance eight days a week.

Considering the tanks people are driving around these days, I don't mind the size/safety trade off. The Hummer EV weighs like 9k pounds. It would probably flatten my Evo 8 in a collision.

I know we are all quite smitten with our Carrera T's but if you want to love your T even more, check out the 992.2:
