the perfect spec is the one that puts smile on your face, after all you're the one paying for it.

So basically I saw the car for 10 mins and then came home without it. The only positive is that the dealer is only 45 minutes from my house. As it stands collection was booked for 5 hours ago and the dealer still doesn't appear to have the funds as yet so today is looking less and less likely.

Frustrated and sad in equal measures.
I ran into this when buying a house..I went to my bank in person and the manager called the “clearing house” to push it though. Any wire over a certain dollar amount is reviewed before transmitting. It can get stuck in the queue. Call your bank and tell them to push it through.

FYI…I spoke to at least 4 people who didn’t know the procedure for this and just kept saying “it’s submitted but not executed, I’m sure it will go through…” find someone who knows the correct process.

My 23’ T has althe glass sunroof and I find it an important extra on the car that I really enjoy. Advantage of a sunroof over the Targa or cab is that the sunroof can be opened and closed at any speed in just a few seconds. In a mountain road with with trees and hillside rising above the car the sunroof all this becomes part of the experience plus the crisp morning air is sublime. The T is not a race car that I am worried about shaving 10’s of a second out of on track. And the additional weight is truly trivial on any public road. Vast majority of us could feel any difference on any road with or without sunroof.

I also like the metal sunroof- it is essentially invisible when closed from the exterior. And if you are such a pro street racer the weight difference is truly trivial over the fixed metal roof.

plus my T has the black gloss aero kit and with the black glass sunroof the entire top from the windshield to the black gloss wing is all gloss black.

also with the sunshade pulled back the tinted glass sunroof opens up the cabin and allows light to enter into the cabin.

video below of Mr T - with glass sunroof and black aerokit wing etc. I am very pleased with the aesthetic look with the entire roof being glass black on this Rubystar Neo painted car.

Not going to lie I really like the Black aero kit with the sunroof, it does look good. I did not get one on my RSN T but I can definitely see why you did. you made a fantastic spec

The addition of a glass sunroof has little to nothing to do with 0 to 60, 1/4 miles times. One is simply raising the center of gravity which is always a negative in any performance vehicle. There is nothing wrong with having a sunroof, but in the case of a ‘true sports car’ I personally feel it is the wrong option to add and most certainly in glass. Furthermore the “open-air experience” via a 992 sunroof is not that significant given how small the opening is. If one truly desires an “open-air experience” then purchasing a Targa or a Cab would appear to be the ideal vehicle as the weight savings of the T is totally defeated when equipped with the glass sunroof.

Edit: Keep in mind that the 992 S/T is lightest 911 currently produced and it is not offered with the availability of a sunroof nor RAS. PAG also considers it a vehicle engineered more for street use than the track.

there is a build very close to yours, color as well. It’s a dealership pickup in Rubystar, his first Pcar and he’s down on one knee over the excitement of the moments and he looks a lot like you in your photo? I looked for it but couldn’t find it.

hmmmm 🤔🤔🤔 if it’s at Atlanta Porsche Experience center then it’s me, it’s it’s at Abq Porsche then it’s me if it’s not there then it would have to be some other awesome pcar owner with a ruby star out there 😂😁

let’s face it, it’s the PDK that adds most of the weight. All the other stuff don’t come close. The original, had no radio, no AC, no backseats, etc, now that was track focused. My friends on track day would remove door panels as well back in the day on drag strip day. That is weight savings.

Todays T is all about feel and usability on the road. As to the roof, even the cf isn’t that much of a saving either but looks good as I had it on my F80CP. I do agree if you plan to track this thing as it’s main focus, then by all means 86 the roof and all other weight saving measures should be followed. Otherwise country twisty roads were made for open air driving, windows and roof open. Track times need not apply. Fun does!

What a wonderful surprise, I received a Carrera T allocation today. I was not expecting an allocation until the first of the year. It is a November build. ETA at the delear is mid-January. I am utterly thrilled.

When I answer these kinds of requests for opinions on specs I keep my comments to simple things like "get rid of the puddle lights, they're worthless (from my SA)" basically. I don't weigh in on color choices, RAS, FAL, LCA, LKA, etc bc those are all personal preferences.
