I was waiting for this hahaha, in both a 718 and 911, there should not really be back seats. If you want a car with back seats, get a Panamera, Macan, cayenne, hell even a Tycan, but leave the sports cars for the people who use them as such. There are sports cars that have back seats that work really well. That can never really be the case with how the 911 is designed and where the engine is, all you can take is very little children for maybe 2-5 years depending on how small your kid is at ages where they can ride without a booster, or car seat.
Without back seats, the 911 would have been a mid-engine car and the [modern] 718 might never have existed. At any rate, it has back seats because Ferry wanted it that way. 
No one ever claimed they were super useful but they're also not completely useless. Back in the 60s (before my time) 2+2 sports cars were more common - the 911 is a relic - a delightful relic.
Plus, I don't think the driving dynamics of the 911 are poor...

Perhaps you are too young to recall the old "2+2" sports car concept. Without back seats, the 911 would have been a mid-engine car and the [modern] 718 might never have existed. At any rate, it has back seats because Ferry wanted it that way. No one ever claimed they were super useful but they're also not completely useless. Ever since the 2000's when engines were getting bigger, and bigger, I feel like they neglected the space one would need to sit back there. In the T, with my seating position, a regular-sized person would have their legs crushed. there simply is not enough room. If that is the way Ferry wanted it, unfortunately, Porsche has not kept his dream alive.

Def I am way too young, but as I said, there are many sports cars that do the concept quite well and always have, some car manufacturers like Porsche seem to have not left the room so to speak in their engineering plans to address it.
That is a good point, I know many many older Porsches had sizable backseats and could actually fit people, somehow even though they were smaller cars back then they still actually had a lot of room, to really fit a person there. Ever since the 2000's when engines were getting bigger, and bigger, I feel like they neglected the space one would need to sit back there. All three are excellent. Splitting hairs really. The H&R will give you a lower drop but slightly more firm than the TechArt. And then KW offers height adjustable springs so you can really dial it in and get it to the exact height that you want. Which Porsche did you have in mind that had sizable back seats? No 911 I can think of is materially different back seat-wise than the 992. Not my '72 or '81. And as a kid my brother and I sat in the back of a 928 on a road trip from VA to CT and back -- not pleasant even with the rear a/c unit. Maybe the 924/944 was slightly better but again not for adults in any way, shape or form.
I was about 15 when I stopped being able to fit in a 996 turbo cabriolet, comfortably.
But I have heard the 992 Cabriolet, and 992 Targa have a little better room, maybe not leg room. also, the thing is, depending on the driver, if they are short it is great. If they are taller, then no legroom for the people in the back. I am mainly thinking of when I sat in air-cooled Porsches at car shows in the back seat with the car set up for shorter drivers, I think shorter than 5 foot 8, so that could be it.

bahahaaa, I feel you my man. I hope to see how it turns out, but I am keeping my seats in, I put things on it so they dont roll around the small and almost unusable door pockets, Bring back the 991 or 997 or even the 996 door pockets!!!!!!!!
