992 Carrera T Club
Burning Brakes
Peeps come to hear what Porsha / car 🚘 crazy and knowledgeable dudes like u have to share regularly. Being away for a WEEK can’t be acceptable…ok unless really really good reason.
@Barkat03 is this cause for a Red card? Sorry, I watch futbol but not at your level. It would definitely be a technical foul in basketball….

Technically it's a red card, followed by a 3 month suspension and no wages during those 3 months.

As soon as the 992 3RS straps make it to the aftermarket I will be adding them

@ECNJ Once again you are correct - Have you ever been wrong about anything!?

Well, he did claim it was due to work. I suppose maintaining employment could be more important than RList? A suspension would have the opposite effect. We want him to be be here more often. Let’s go with a warning this time, but as the cops tell me all the time warning me….in the system now for next time! On the watchlist….
I was in the 'big A' all week. Met another T fan with a chalk 992 on order
*EDIT* Also, the Leo gif reminds me, I watched The Departed on the flight home. Forgot what an epic movie that was.

How do you deal with the layer of fine dust that accumulates after each drive? I'm afraid the California Car Duster that I'd used for years will leave scratches on the paint, so I'm hosing the car down with a power washer (no soap) and drying with a Klin microfiber drying towel.

@Esoteric_Detail How do you best take care of PPF? I live in a dusty dry state, I get a thin very thin layer of dust on the car as I drive and when it is windy overnight, and leaving my gravel driveway over a period of time it gets dusty. So I need to be wiping down my PPF every day or every other day. What do you recommend to keep my PPF pristine and get the dust off

"I would rather be the person with the dusty car with perfect paint underneath" is a choice one must decide upon.
We do offer a bit of advice beginning at this point of the video but as with many things, the absolute fool-proof solution does not exist:
Hope this helps!

My son and I just returned from PECATL, Flew in Wednesday evening, stayed at the Kimpton across the street from Porsche. Nice room and free airport shuttle. Thursday morning at 9 we walked over for our delivery appointment with Ross and Kurt. Our T was under a black sheet in the delivery lounge, its reveal did not disappoint. Love the way it turned out with lots of leather with the lizard green stitching, 18 way seats and Burmester stereo. My son and I split the allotted track time with Kurt on the newly opened West course featuring curves from the Nordschleife, Laguna Seca, and VIR. Our provided car was a 911S with PDK as no manuals are available at PECATL. The track is fairly short and the curves somewhat compressed and very technical. We also did launch control and the ice hill... very entertaining.
After track time we had an exceptional lunch in 356, received a bag of swag including a thumb drive with lots of delivery photos, and a suggested route home to Ohio which included the Tail of the Dragon.
This was our first time in a 992 Carrera T and the car did not disappoint. I was coming from a 5 year ownership of a 991.2 GT3 which was a brilliant DE car but was too harsh and loud for me to enjoy as a daily driver. The T is quieter by an appreciable amount, with a more compliant ride.. The stereo was a major upgrade over my previous Bose. The T performed brilliantly in all settings, including the Dragon, Georgia and Tennessee backroads, and interstate 75.
In summary the car was superb, and will be happily used as a daily driver. It will also see track time at MidOhio next month. BTW It is equipped with Goodyear tires and they were sticky, responsive, and fairly quiet. No complaints at all. I am excited to see what this car can do beyond its break-in period!

Yes he did, in some detail. He was a good instructor and an enthusiastic ambassador for the brand. I really appreciated the time both guys spent with us and the extra effort put forth with the suggestions for the routing home. My son was so impressed with the Experience that he's booking track time for himself and his buddy next week with Kurt.
