We best get to work!
I am waffling on deleting the heated steering wheel. We reside in the Southeast and it is probably not really needed, especially in a coupe. I do not ever intend to drive the car in temperatures below 45° nor in the rain or snow. The price of admission is truly trivial, but my main concern is at resell. Thoughts?

As someone that is in the automotive industry I have an extremely difficult time not doing that. lol. Anyways… I have been informed via local Porsche owners that the heated steering wheel is easy to accidentally turn on while driving.

Resist the urge my friend! It's your car. Everyone else is building their car. 911s are not like other cars where you buy a specific package. They are all relatively bespoke. If you want to take resale into consideration, then keep it light on options because you rarely get back what you put into them.

There's a list? I'd love to be added to it. Looks like I'm going to drive up from Mexico. The question is, which car? I know the obvious answer here will be the T but I have other things to consider.

I have the heated wheel in my Macan and could do without it. I WILL be driving my T in snow and ice. Ideally on a frozen lake. I did NOT option the heated steering wheel. That's what gloves are for.

Seems odd since the button is between the spokes on the steering wheel. I find the voice control button much easier to hit when whipping the car around

I won't have my T there since I'll be getting back from my ED trip only a couple weeks before I head to CA. But I wouldn't be driving 2800+ miles (each way) from MD to CA anyway - that's a bit too much. Will be visiting my sister just north of Oakland & then driving her Miata 2.5 hours south to Monterey.

Agreed and while I have not seen it for myself, I have been informed it is on the backside of the steering wheel too.

Agreed. I would be depressed to hear of someone shopping for a Carrera T skipping out on a beautiful machine because the steering wheel wasn't heated. If they really needed it, they could add it.

as much as I 100 percent agree with this , the other part of me asks what would sell this quicker if I had to sell it , example my house every thing I do to my home I do because I want but I also try and do it in a way that would appeal to both husband and wife of potential future buyers . I liked the idea of an all black kitchen and even though I know it would look killer I tweaked it a bit and went with a black island because I know an all black kitchen would not be everyone’s cup of tea . The patio I purposely had the tv built into the outdoor fireplace because a) it’s cool and b) that’s going to appeal to a future buyer but more importantly I think it’s cool lol. So with the car I did everything I wanted in a car but tastefully enough to where it could sell quick if I needed to sell it . For me the heated steering wheel is such a cheap option at that point it almost should be no cost but even so you’ll never feel that and now if someone from the northeast wants to buy it , it’s another selling point although most won’t drive the car in the weather conditions that would require a heated wheel

The nice thing about adding the kit afterwards is that you can custom paint the fins to match your car, in my case I matched them to the lizard interior. 🦎

That said, I think the heated wheel in the T is pretty weak compared to my GLC and my wife’s old A4
