Here is my take on a sunroof and I formerly would not even consider owning a vehicle without one. To add light into the interior a glass roof is the perfect solution for the simple fact that you are not forced to open it. If you are OCD about keeping your vehicle interiors nearly spotless then fully opening a glass or steel sunroof and letting airborne contaminants into the vehicle will not work well for you. I am speaking from experience as I fall into that category. Currently all my vehicles are equipped with a sunroof and I never open them for that reason alone. For me the significance of the T is the lighter weight and the manual transmission with the base engine. When adding a sunroof it only defeats the point of the weight reduction.

Edit: If I really had to have a sunroof I would go the steel route.

But then, my dealer is quite annoyed that he received a Turbo allocation, which he'll not be able to sell. Only Turbo S sell around here, he claims.
It's also weird that people despise manuals where I live. Tried to sell or trade-in my 2022 718 Spyder, had to give it for a sum so small, that every driven km almost cost me 9 USD. Market is flooded with manuals. Only PDK do sell. Quite worried that this might apply to a Carrera T as well (which I intend to keep but you never know).
In the meantime I've ordered another Macan GTS, need a family car. Used to have one until three years ago, great car. Not as cool as a Carrera T though, which I'll probably not get.
If I were you I would consider emigrating to a country where MT is appreciated for the additional skill required to pedal it!
I'll put you up in London while you are looking around.

2- Interior Trim same color as exterior color?? I am thinking with Chalk it will look OK but with Gentian Blue maybe cheesy?

3 - Sunroof? get it or not? if get it get the glass one or same color as exterior... ? With Chalk and Glass sunroof the contrast in body color and glass sunroof I dont like but I guess with Blue and glass top it blends in better?

thank you
I don’t like to comment on build questions since so subjective. For example, I have things only few would also do like adding a sub box and str8 pipe. People that know me simply respond I’d expect nothing different from u. If helpful (really not sure), I’ll add a few opinions. This is from someone that’s been heavily influenced by designers/engineers over decades (fyi). 1 - Chalk or IGM 100%. Gentian blue does nothing for me on a 911. Again, IMO.
2- I’d do interior trim paint if trim was metal pieces. On plastic, looks and feels a bit cheesy as u mentioned.
3- I’m originally from Cali and always drove with sunroof open / T-top off. Since getting my T in May, sunroof is 100% open except if raining obviously. My industry acquaintances love how Porsha designed it extending outside over the roof and its curved / flush design especially in glass. Design is similar to the 90s CRX Si, e.g. U also mention color blending. Because the 992 has a lot of black trim pieces, designers as well as I love the look of the black 992. Everything flows. That said, sometimes blending some colors for contrast may also be attractive. I like the look of carbon roof on various colors. I saw a black 992 yesterday with black wheels and dark tint (aka murdered out look). Some really dig that but I don’t. Contrast can be a good thing 4 sure. For example, I like having the red light pieces in the rear for pop and contrast, etc.

Most importantly, congrats on getting the T. Hope u love it as much as I do!

I've gone 3 or 4 times including once already this year. That being said, I'm still looking forward to another visit in October They swap cars often enough that it's always worth it. Especially with half-price entry when showing PCA membership

The gentian really does look nice. I opted for the sunroof but don't honestly use it much. I think I like the roof line without it more than with it and since I don't use it, I'd delete the sunroof if I could go back and do it again.

Here's the deal...Stumbled upon a new Carrera T a few days ago. I little over spec'd for my liking but can be had for less than $10K over MSRP including delivery to my house (over 500 miles away). My local dealer will sell to me at MSRP but of course I'd have to wait 6 to 8 months. So is ADM typical nowadays for a vehicle on the lot that can be had immediately? If so, how much over are peeps paying? Obviously, the money thing is all relative and I don't want to wait so I'm willing to pay the ADM.

I ended up looking for a 911 T when my 2024 Cayenne S when into stop sale with an estimated fix date sometime in September. Sold my TRX 2 days before I was to pick-up the Cayenne only to find out it was a no go....Of course I was too impatient to wait 6 to 8 weeks and I said screw it, I'm getting a 911.

This will be my daily driver. It's been almost 8 years since I've driven a manual regularly. I've been a Corvette guy in the past and my C7 Z06 was a manual.

First, post so be kind....

Many thanks!

Greg
