Manuals are like riding a bike...

And yes, Porsches are VERY easy sticks to drive. VERY.

Who? I had to google Mr. Jacuzzi, ha. But I’m aware of his brand jacuzzi tubs. Yeah, such an awesome windy road and goes for hours up towards Bear Mountain! Took my T up to a 100 today…but that’s about the max given the traffic there. Ha, I actually bought my home taking this driving road into consideration as well as being 15 minutes to midtown Manhattan if no traffic. At least be back on weekends!

BTW, yeah loads of supercars always there. Great golf course too…..

I taught two of my friends teenage sons to drive manual on my 993s. People thought I was crazy. I had a VERY engaged student in a car that made it easy.

Me? I learned manual on a "3 in the tree" 1975 Chevy C-10 with about 300000 miles on it running on 4-5 of its 6-cylinders.

You can eat 6 lbs of food in a day?

With some RS and Dakars being sold at MSRP, I don't think ADMs will be that high and can see some of them moving at MSRP, especially ask liquidity in the market continues to dry up.
Good point about the S/T volume, though it remains to be seen how many of them end up allocated to the US. In my dream world, someone gives me their GT3 Touring allocation since they now want an S/T.

Thats a fairly normal weight fluctuation. 64 oz of water is more than 4lbs, FYI.

I suppose normal is relative - mine doesn't fluctuate more than 3 lbs in a day. And you just mentioned not eating, not also abstaining from liquid intake, so I was thinking/referring only to solid foods.

So maybe a good time to sell it and trade it in for a new 992 T. The price bump helped me a lot. The 19 still for sale don’t help at all. But most of them PDK and rear seats. And none of them in GR so not worried there. Talked to my dealer already today and he had 1 allocation left for a 992 T. See if I can make a good deal. Much easier for me to spec a proper T now knowing what I know. It was much harder before it was out.

@ Macboy Great that you are getting so much pleasure out of it. I did a great run in 2019 to the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest. What is your spec and if you take a new allocation what would you change? Thank you as I am cogitating my spec which will freeze early September.
Have a good fortnights trip to the Balkans.

Large respect Macboy! The way you've used your car is pretty much poster child material for Porsche. You've toured in the T, tracked the T, and now possibly trading the T for another. I too am very interested in how you would spec your own 992.1 Carrera T 2.0.

He'd do it just to get PDLS+.

Yep, Macboy is the definitely the man when it comes to speccing. So much so that I let him spec my T out for me. Fingers still crossed that it gets approved but looks promising.

The car is really a dream. It would be the first time trading a car in for the same car if it works out. I think that says it all. Because of the price changes I would consider to do a different spec on some points.

1. PDLS+ of course main point to not forget to click!

2. Bose. Self explanatory.

3. The 4-way sportseats plus instead of the 18-way seats saving lot of money. It’s just a consideration money wise, since my legs are short I don’t use the extended part for the upper legs at all. But I hate moving a chair manually in such an expensive car. My wife however turned out never to drive the car so the memory was never needed. And also the steering wheel was not electric as it should be leaving out that advantage. Saving €2900 there.

4. Skipping all the alcantara parts and going for leather. As a change of what I have now to have a different feel. Touching your steering wheel will then feel different. I like to have alcantara wheel in one car and then leather wheel in the other car etc. Alcantara is usually winning but saving €2200 here as well on all the alcantara options.

5. No alcantara roof lining means no sunroof is necessary anymore. I bought that mainly because of the more light in the car. And you need more light to visually enjoy the alcantara roof lining at its best. I also have not used the sunroof as much as I thought. Fully open never. It doesn’t add anything. And the partly open I found it irritating sound wise and not adding much but nicer pictures from the outside. Also I had the sunscreen closed most of the times. So the cabin had enough light. So saving €2800 there.

6. Of course adding RAS as I am a big fan of that

7. I will add the deviated stitching and go full yellow. Outside color popping at itself. Inside popping at itself. I very much like my darklook as I have it now. So everything black no deviated stitching but only the seatbelts and dials popping out. However when changing to another same car changing those details is a bit nicer. And I am a sucker for deviated stitching. Even though I fully committed to the black look on my current one. It’s all about the total package. Since my outside was already GR I didn’t want the inside to pop as much. It’s one or the other. Now my outside will be more “plain” again so that means the inside can color/pop more.

8. I hated the fact that my first own specced Porsche would not have red callipers to combine it with red seatbelts. Or yellow carbon brakes with yellow seatbelts. That was the main reason for me to go with the guards red. With GR I would always make the red callipers black and with carbon brakes I don’t like red/yellow combination. But seeing all those pictures of the new delivered T’s I was much less irritated than I thought. I started liking the “dark” look from outside without red/yellow callipers. So thus going more crazy on the inside. That leaves all colors open for me. So I am considering the shark blue with yellow details inside. But if money would be an issue (shark blue is €2800) I could consider the free white. I have had many white cars in the past so going back to white would be something. However I find it that with white I like the red inside details more than the yellow one. With blue the yellow inside is just magical. With white I can even consider the green interior. I would however not go for the T package but just the deviated stichting in green getting all the proper stitching lines. Green seatbelts added with both the green dials. I also consider the Ice Grey Metallic. Magical color bringing all the benefits from a metallic color but also a nice light color. Still a sucker for GT silver as well.

So my wish list is:
1. Sharkblue with yellow interior
2. IGM or GT silver with yellow interior
3. White with red/green interior

9. And finally these options I would want added just like now:

- Park assist with behind camera
- Lane change assist
- 90l tank
- Folding mirrors
- Executive lights
- Rain sensor
- Storage package
- Porsche crest on console lid
- Leather behind steering wheel

Moneywise it just means I am waiting for the dealer to make a good deal if possible. Because of the price gap I will not lose much money. But the car is more expensive but by leaving out some of those main costs (sunroof, seats, color, alcantara) I can basically clime into a nice deal not costing me much money and change to a new car. Adding all the other leather options (extended leather package and door and behind seats) would be something that is depending on this.
