Say hello to Christian for us...He is the best. Hoping for a call today from our GSM...

Thanks! Yeah, I’m sure it’s something like that. Just frustrating that it been sitting there since beginning of October. My SA said they’ve gotten 2 trucks already this week but my car hasn’t been on either. Just seems random with what is showing up, no FIFO with deliveries.

Oh well, nothing I can do but continue to wait. I’m still excited about my car though.

My car was in Houston and got delivered last Thursday. My SM did ask Porsche to expedite my car. There were two other 911s that were also delivered. It doesn't make sense that your cars are delayed unless there is a PDI issue.

Has anyone that has taken possession had a slight rattle at low rpm. This is my first 911 and I'm trying to figure out whats normal break in and what might be a problem.

Can you be more specific about the rattle. Where is it coming from, what does it sound like, is it RPM or speed related, what makes it worse or better?

Trust me - the potential "issue" is what I am worried about. I have a terrible story about port damage to my 2009 BMW Z4 that I took Euro Delivery of at Das Welt. Trying not to think the worst when the simplest explanation may be - "too many cars sitting in port to deliver timely."

And Warren, you would hope it is FIFO for delivery but that is clearly not the case.

metallic rattle coming through the exhaust. It seems to quiet down or go away with more revs or being in a higher gear

only reason I'm asking on here is due to it being a 21. Seeing if anyone on here has that issue so far

There is an entire thread on this for 2020 models. Not just affecting 2021.

Depends on who you ask. My port processing date was 11/10. My delivery date got pushed back to 12/4 so my odds weren’t good. But, hopefully yours will be better and it will show up tomorrow 🤞🏼

I wouldn’t put too much faith in TYD, or try to extrapolate from someone else’s TYD date change. I have spoken to multiple dealers who have told me that CARB gets released about a week after EPA. I am hopeful that today or tomorrow the cars will be released.

Notwithstanding which thread is correct for the question, carmine red with black is a fantastic spec.
