2021 Delivery Date?

Three Wheelin'
For starters, doesn't seem that many people have taken delivery of 2021s yet. Even if I had taken delivery, how do I check to see if it has them? Are they in the center exhaust or the cats? I only ask because I plan to replace both regardless. Probably getting Soul Performance Sport Cats and Exhaust unless AWE beats them to market with a center exhaust replacement. Can I visually inspect the exhaust to determine if it has GPFs?

for example - will you refuse delivery if you learn in advance that your car has a gpf? Or is there a reason you can’t wait to find out?
To each - his or her own. I have owned one 356sc and six 911s from 964 through 991.1, both natural aspiration and turboS. I bought and enjoyed them all for their performance, not the exhaust noise they could show off to me - or to others. But then, I don’t see a need to show off.
The GPF issue has been known for several years - any reasonably diligent buyer who cared significantly about the sound his/her car would make would have ascertained its GPF and noise characteristics *before* buying.
One hopes you will be satisfied with the car you purchased - and the noise that it makes, since that is apparently very important to you.
i know I will be satisfied with my tts - with or without any gpf. I didn’t order it for the noise to show anybody else.

Is there anyone in a CARB state who has been told their car has been released from the port? Per the internet, CARB states are: Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and Washington, DC. I'm buying through a NJ dealer. As of yesterday, my car still had a CARB block on it.
Sorry misread your post. Thought you were in a non CARB state

I also read an article (sorry I can't recall the source) written by one of the buff book (C&D, R&T, AW, etc) journalists who was on one of Porsche's "introduction" junkets (in Spain I think) where the seat of the pants observations by the journalists there was that the GPF cars seemed a bit quicker than the non-GPF cars. That may actually be something to think about. It could easily be, that having a GPF allows some beneficial changes in the engine operating software. Changes that can't be done on a non-GPF car because it would prevent them from passing emissions testing for other reasons.
Food for thought.

for starters, most likely because people don’t know or don’t care. OR will wait until delivery to find out.

You don't care what your car sounds like, great; most of us do, but for ourselves and not others.

Yoy care about the noise your car makes. I don’t. Your interest in the noise you car makes is fine with me.
BUT - you avoided answering the central question - are you going to reject your car if it has a gpf????
have you asked PCNA/your dealer about the gpf? If not, why not?

i claim no moral high ground (although you have revealed that apparently I should).

fair point - but actually, I think I wrote that showing noise off to others was not important to me - I didn’t mean to assume why others care about it.
but - enough- this discussion is not at all productive , and I will be the first to say that EVERYONE CAN AND SHOULD HAVE THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL OPINION ABOUT NOISE AND GPF!!!!

maybe just me trying to convince myself, but the 2021 wheel offsets do look noticeably more aggressive.

You didn't ask me previously, but now that you have I'll answer. Of course I'm not going to reject the car if it has GPF. Will I cut it out if I don't like the sound it produces? I will, and the cost will not matter one iota because how it sounds to me is part of the joy of driving the car.
”OR will wait until delivery to find out.
for example - will you refuse delivery if you learn in advance that your car has a gpf? Or is there a reason you can’t wait to find out?”
So — if you would not be rejecting the car if it has GPF, why were you so anxious about why no one else had reported gpf status??
you don’t need to respond. I think this whole discussion is useless (at best) and will not waste any more time on it.

actually, I specifically did:

Actually, you didn't. You replied to smiles11, not me. Since you keep having to back up and rephrase, I agree you should probably move on.

Changing topics....... haven't taken delivery yet, but did get to take a look during PDI. Definitely liking it so far! Then on for PPF (front end) and ceramic.
