Not true. Folks in Arizona are getting cars out of San Diego. Meanwhile, those of us in California are still waiting.

Depends on where the ordering dealer is located. Porsche sells cars to dealers, not customers. A dealer in Arizona will get cars shipped to San Diego and then trucked to Arizona. The email I saw from Porsche NA, says that dealers are not allowed to transfer a vehicle out of their state until CARB is approved.

Yup, that sort of a scenario is probably correct. If you bought the car from a dealer in a CARB state and you live in a non-CARB state, you're probably S.O.L. Until CARB releases the cars for delivery to CARB state dealers the dealer doesn't have anything to ship you. UNLESS you're a non-CARB state resident who bought from a CARB state dealer but you're taking delivery at the Atlanta PEC. That'd probably be an unusual combination, but it just might be a way get around this sort of nonsense.

I was more wondering if cars coming into port in CARB states are being held for some reason even if going to non-CARB states.

Nope. Shouldn’t be. Believe restriction is that they cannot be released to CARB states yet. Free to release to all others, regardless of port location.

Yes it seems a-lot of buyers cars are getting released this week and starting next week. Even cars.com listings are increasing. Up now to 144 MY2021's listed from 88 last week ago.

Yes weird isn't it? My car is released according to my SA and will be shipped he hopes within the next 48-72 hrs. As always TYD show car still in port processing! SMDH. That thing however has been about 2 weeks behind at best the whole time from ordering to know. Anyway SA told me they plan is to receive car next week [given shipping/delivery demands] and we can plan on vehicle delivery either right before Thanksgiving or Black Friday weekend. Works for me!
