Yeah, me too! From his use of the word 'hope' I think week ending 12/18 is more realistic.

My SM just emailed me this afternoon to tell me Porsche gave me PSMP+2 for my 88 day port delay. Seems the have now decided to compensate us for all the EPA and CARB drama.

GSM called me today as I have expressed my displeasure respectfully about being once again delayed. Now, here is the claimed "truth" about my Houston port locked car waiting to go to Austin - "a run of 911 VINs is being held for QC and that QC is a needed software update to those identified VINs." So, our cars wait for a software F_______ update!!!!! He admitted, he was not told what type of update or what problem is being addressed AND he has no clue as to when Porsche will get around to our software update as they would not tell him anything more.

Screw me.

If you have a PECLA delivery they all go through the port of Benicia and then are trucked to LA. Why? I have no idea, but that’s what Porsche is doing.

Forgive my ignorance, but can someone please translate "PSMP +2" for me. Porsche Scheduled maintenance + two years? + 2 times?....Isn't the first scheduled maintenance already included?

Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Program +2 - First year/10,000 miles comes "free." This covers years 2 and 3/20,000 and 30,000 miles. Cost to purchase is around $2,450. Covers the two service visits - not for a defined time period.

Makes sense then. They load the ship by destination port, so yours loaded accordingly. Port processing will presumably re-route it to your dealership.

Has your dealer confirmed with you that yours is in his PSVT system (sales and vehicle tracking system) as now being delivered to the dealership vs. the PEC? May want to confirm with them if not.

I would be torn between thanking him for his response and writing a 3 paragraph email ranting against the insanity of the government bureaucracy that employs him. Again, what are we doing? These cars are EXACTLY THE SAME as cars that are already approved. I'm sure CA thinks they're just sticking it to VAG, but how many SAs, dealer finance depts., etc. had a sh*t fourth quarter (just in time for the holidays) because they had no inventory to sell? It's a joke. Literally making those people's lives worse.

Writing ranting emails doesn't work...I send 2 a month to no avail. And while I'm sorry I traded in my 2017 C4 based on the arrival date I was given for my 2021 C4S, I also understand this is very hard on the local dealers and sales force. I can - and have rented a car but what do they do? Anybody have an idea of how many vehicles are involved in this fiasco? Regionally (I'm NY) or nationally (and I assume this is just the 911 line).

I don't blame the dealers at all. They're hurting more than we are. For CARB states (which is a big chunk of the U.S. market), it affects every model other than Cayennes and V6 Macans. My local dealer has a total of 14 landed new cars listed on its website. Almost all are Cayennes and Cayenne coupes. Not sure about Taycans, but I don't see any listed.
