Is that for the license plate?

Yes. Seen a Spyder from TX & GT4 from CA with them so far...
I wonder if it’s a new mandate by Porsche for front plate required states.
Hopefully not something that trickles down into the 911.

Funny to think that it's likely that the same people who are actually charged with enforcing the rules around sales of cars to CARB states are likely the same group in charge of the certification itself. I have no idea what the repercussions are for knowingly selling or releasing a car to a state prior to CARB certification (revocation of dealership status??), but given the craziness of things in general, and the ongoing drama of this delay, could it happen?

Track Day
In the last week Florida taken delivery 2021 992's, since they don't subscribe to the California, just EPA standards, it is clearly the CARB standards / red tape that is the hold up in NY (and I understand elsewhere in the northeast). I can't believe CA would change their standards w/o proper notice to the mfgs, so somewhere Porsche screwed up...and of course PCNA has never once in the 2 months that my car has been sitting at the port reached out to me with any information or even some mild regrets. Treating their customers like garbage, again.

I think us 911 guys have lucked out so far. No pre-marked pilot holes & no GPF.
However, it makes me worried for the next GT3. If the 718 GT cars are getting pilot holes & GPF’s in the states... what’s going to happen with the 992 GT3?!? 😞

Preuninger already said the 992 GT3 will have GPFs. I’m sure it will still sound amazing. If it’s that much of an issue, swap the exhaust when the car comes in. Budget for a nice exhaust upgrade.

I know it can be remedied. I just lament the direction things are going... but on a positive note, it gives me one more reason to hold onto my 992 C2S 🤩

I hear you. To each their own. I’m less concerned about the GPFs as that’s an easy fix, and more concerned about the gawdawful 992 GT3 front bumper. It looks terrible to me. It will NOT grow on me. Looks worse than the 996 headlights IMHO. The rear bumper looks terrible too. Easily the worst looking GT3 yet, by far.

This is the Internet—there is no “agree to disagree”—state your opinion, then repeat it more and more strenuously with anybody who makes the mistake of differing with you!
