I just got confirmation that my car is on Viking Bravery as of today. It's scheduled to arrive in San Diego on Dec 28th which is a Monday. It's coming to Scottsdale AZ (a non carb state). So I'm not sure if there will be any delays. I'm betting the dealer wants to close this deal by Dec 31st so they may help push it to get it here. Fingers crossed, the sooner the better.

I guess I will find out in the next week. Again unless CARB is resolved and my on-order winter wheels arrive before the car, getting the car early won't make a wit of a difference so all in all I am resigned to getting the car when I get it
My Targa arrived in Emden on October 5th and went out on October 16th; it made it onto the first ship that came in to Emden after its arrival, so didn't seem like a significant backlog then.

C2S been stuck in San Diego purgatory since 11/1. Was now told 12/4 release of administrative hold. Is that the general consensus for everyone stuck on the west coast? Or is that a random computer generated date

i also checked local SoCal dealers for 911 inventory and most of them have none in stock or coming soon listings posted. I’m assuming dealer inventories are also stuck there

12/4 was given as the EARLIEST DATE' in which 992's might be released but based on multiple revised dates, while we hold out hope, it is likely there will be further delays

Correct all CARB dealers have no cars, some are advertising as incoming and some are waiting until they are actually onsite

My Cabriolet has been sitting at the port since 11/8 according tot he site, and no movement. This whole waiting game has turned unexpectedly far more painful and annoying than ever expected. Almost regretting trading in my 991.2 for this saga!!

Many are sitting...Personally, our build arrived 09/05 in San Diego...Some have had builds sitting since 08/15, but I think those have been released as they were in Non-CARB states. Ours may be the longest sitting builds...Very frustrating to say the least...3 months

Mine finally arrived last week after sitting in Halifax since late august! I had to take it with the winter wheel kit unfortunately. I guess it will be like another delivery in the spring with my Carrera classic wheels.

Mine has been sitting in San Diego since just prior to October 23rd. TYD has promised delivery for 10/23, 10/30, 11/06, 11/13 and 11/20. It still is showing 11/20 although I have, like many others received notification from our dealers that 12/04 is now the "Estimated" on-sale date (see below). So we'll see I suppose.

Great article...her job is anything but routine these days.

Our car is scheduled to be loaded on the Siem Cicero on Friday. Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself ( and CARB gets in gear).

Have noticed many CARB state dealers are listing 2021 992's on sites such as AutoTrader...Cars.com...No actual pictures, but coming soon with VIN's...Could this be a sign?

The dealer in San Diego said they are expecting 12/4 still. I probed about getting the car released sooner (because it will be going to and registered in a non-CARB state) and he said no dice. I was under the impression that somebody had already received a 2021 car that was shipped through the port in San Diego but went to a non-CARB state.

He said he’s anxious as they have around 15 “sold” cars sitting there. That sounded like a relatively small number to me as some have been there for over three months, but I assume they have a bunch of dealer-spec’d cars as well that they’d like to get on the lot.

So the wait continues :-)

I thought so too. I thought the cars going to AZ, a non-Carb state, go through the San Diego Port.

It's a sign alright. It's a sign they're just as anxious as we are to get the cars. If your business revolves around selling cars, but you don't have or can't get any, the problem is academic. I suspect their conversations with PCA are perhaps a bit more colorful than those seen on this forum.

Walnut Creek has a few 911’s landing soon. On the site it has info as well as Vins, no photos. I’m not sure if I’d put any stock in Vins being shown. I had my Vin when my car was half way here. Been in Benecia since 10/24. SA email this morning is still clinging on to this Friday 12/4. I’m not excited, it’s become the boy who cried wolf.

I feel zero excitement. Too many false hopes over the past three months. SA hasn’t even bothered to reach this time to get ready for the eminent delivery (as done a couple of times before). Until I see it on the lot I won’t believe it. Lost what turned out to be 3 great months of sports car weather here in the northeast. Weather projected to finally turn colder next week, of course.
