Why not just run no plate. If you install a copy of your plate it looks just as bad, and could still get you a ticket. If you want to run a plate, there are a few options out there that don't require drilling.

I really like the idea. Unfortunately for the folks making these "Wrap" style plates the "pilot' nature of this program expires this month. Ugh!
"(4) Any pilot program established by the department pursuant to this subdivision shall be completed no later than January 1, 2021."

Looking at the positive side of this; at least alternatives are being considered. My "template" is the size of a motorcycle license plate . . . . so this pilot program may function as my rationale/pleading, in the event an officer has a question.

I suspect that in most cases, it's when either your driving or your attitude needs adjustment that the lack of a front plate becomes an issue. Otherwise, there are probably more important fish to fry.

But as I await my 992, I'm thinking that I better put that front plate on, because the chances of getting a ticket in that car are pretty substantial. It's not the cost of the ticket that I mind, but rather the fact that if you get a couple of tickets in a three year period, you come dangerously close to getting your license suspended if you get a third one. A suspended license would be a tragedy.
It is a fix it ticket, will not effect your driving record...now if you are speeding or racing different story.

Carbonio front spring-loaded bracket. Mounts below the bumper in pre-existing holes so no drilling necessary. This looks pretty low but it’s a bad angle. If I took the picture from a lower angle, the plate bracket sits right above the front splitter. MA requires a front plate, but this is easy to remove and reinstall quickly, and I plan on having it spend a good amount of time in the frunk.

Default STOnSHO...

Bought the kit but I missed the part where it said it doesn’t fit cars with the sport package because of the lip. Made it work anyways. Around these parts it’s an expensive ticket but the kicker is the ticket results in a surcharge on your insurance which sticks around for 3 years and that adds up huge.

I bit the bullet and did standard mount after PPF...not many options for a TT/S due to inflatable front splitter, ACC and sensors. Just added an attractive porsche slim plate surround.

Dont need a reason to be pulled over immediately as noted by lknshrp.

Will a standard mount interfere with Surround View?

I just spoke to Carbonio and they recently updated the plate holder so that it now sits significantly higher above the front splitter. I ordered my bracket on 12/12 and they revised the design on 12/20. So if you look at the picture of my car's bracket vs the pictures on Carbonio's website, the plate holder face has about an inch plus rise on the plate mount. Carbonio said they would mail me the updated license plate face.
