I get not putting screws into the bumper, but you are already in a car that can attract attention. Why chance it when it's easily avoidable?

If you were one of my patients and gave me a BS answer about why you're still smoking after I spent the night trying to save your life you lose all credibility
See my prior post. If you are willing to drill two tiny (1/16th inch) holes in the BOTTOM of your bumper where nobody will see them you can solve this front plate problem easily and at no cost. I've been pulled over once in VA for no front plate - it was over a decade ago. I asked the cop to let me attach it right then, he said ok, so I pulled the pre-mounted plate from my frunk, attached the two hidden screws, and was on my way in less than 5 min with no ticket and a bemused look on the cop's face. Magnets require removal of the bumper cover. Carbonio costs hundreds of coin and blocks the ACC sensor. Tow hook screw in mounting plates block the parking sensors. All are imperfect solutions. Not saying that drilling a pair of non-visible, 1/16th inch holes in the bottom of your bumper is perfect, but IMHO it's far less imperfect than anything else I've seen so far. As always, YMMV and to each his own. Cheers, Ross

Does the Sto N Sho bracket get in the way of the surround view camera, per this photo? How has your experience been with it over the past year? Does the bottom of your license ever scrape on the ground?

I feel lucky to live in a no front plate state.

Cool

No front plate, please :-)
It is required in Washington. I don't have one on my C4S or my Macan, but...... if you care you could have the front plate in the cabin and pop in on the dash if stopped. I believe you might get away with that, but I'll pay the beauty tax if ticketed.

Do I have a front plate? Yes. Does my state (Iowa) require a front plate? Yes. Do I have the plate on my car? NO! Had a red C7 Corvette prior to my 911 and a 718 Cayman. Red car = HIGH attention = 3 stops for no front plate in 5 years (in 2 of them the LEO was nice; 3rd one the guy was a total DICK and almost rear-ended someone else getting to me). Both Cayman and 911 are GT Silver - no traffic stops and no attention from LEO. Sometimes being subtle is a win.

Never had it in California, never had it in Colorado. I did get a $30 ticket from a parking ticket in Colorado once for not having a plate.

I am planning to use this method when mine arrives. Two holes under the black bumper trim seems like a solid compromise. Maybe also to use a little velcro stick-on to help with security. We will see.

It a "fix it" ticket in NY, so if I get a ticket, I will figure out a temporary mount at that point in time.

I have a front plate but have not mounted it and at this point and I don't intend to. I would prefer that Porsche would design some mount points so that a fixture for any market could be affixed without having to drill into the bumper. But that's not going to happen.

Magnetic front license plate for me--easy on and easy off and best of all, no holes.

been driving without a front plate in NJ/NY for years. The last time I was pulled over was in 2015 but was let go.
