This thread needs to come back alive. Anyone? Btw still have the new 992 black rubber mats for sale(new unopened) if anyone’s interested. PM me.
Applied two layers of different ceramic coatings to my 992S in my driveway during a cloudy day. I thought it turned out well for first time DIY coatings by an amateur. I was initially hesitant but YT videos convinced me I could do it. Encourage anyone thinking about it to give it a try. Eight years of ceramic protection for about $250 of product and a day of prepping. I now realize the easiest part was actually applying the coating!

Fully, how long did it take you and did you do 1 or 2 coats? Did you do the wheels as well?
I bought my T a Kimber .380. When seconds count cops are just minutes away.
IMO, that placement isnt ideal. Would be awkward to get to in a situation where seconds count. Maybe it's there just for the photo, just like the one with it on the passenger seat. Either way, cool piece, especially how the handle and etching go very well with the fabric seating.
Is this the first coating on the car? Curious why you skipped the correction step.
Per the “experts”, paint correction not necessary if you are satisfied with the current condition of your paint. I was quite happy with my paint - new car with no swirls marks, scratches, chips or defects. I was also satisfied with its gloss level. I would have polished it if I thought it was needed.
