Tighter than my garage and I'm using Laser Cross Hair Lights to make sure nothing makes contact. I have it plugged into one of the Garage Door Opener Light Sockets. That way it comes on and off with the opening or closing of the garage door.
The Laser Light
Mounted on the bottom of a shelf, at the ceiling.
What it looks like.
From the drivers perspective.

A full size 3 car garage is a hard requirement for the next house though, I hate not having much space for tools and equipment in here.
Now that's a neat idea. The tennis ball method wouldn't work for us backing the cars in, maybe one of these would help...

Below is what we use for exact garage parking. I feel this is a better alternative to a tennis ball(s) hanging from the ceiling.

Here's the low-tech solution on my side of the garage... painter's tape!

Years ago (late '60's & early '70's) I worked in a shop that did VW and Porsche repairs. We'd mask off and paint "T's" on the floor at the hydraulic lifts. You'd line an axle up with the "I" and the edge of the tire with the "---" and you'd be set for the car you were working on. Used different colors for: Bugs, Bus's, Type III's, 356's, and 911's. It was a rather crude system that actually worked extremely well.
