I like that I can take it off and put it back on quickly. I’ve never worried about the plastic lip too much, maybe I should use my FAL more though. This is the first time I’ve used it to help get me clearance to install this.

I know that's not what you meant but just in case OP are thinking of using it for this:

DO NOT use FAL (or air suspension) to lift vehicle to work under it. Air suspension and FAL can release at ANY time with no warning.

They are more expensive, but I’ve had better luck with them than cheaper alternatives. I know a lot of people run without a front plate, but if you live in an area where the cops care about this stuff like I do, it’s nice to have.

I have one of those. It just sits behind my seat on the floor with the plate on it. If I need to put it on, it takes 10 seconds to clip on.

Yup, parked it at the edge of my driveway/curb and then raised it to have a little more clearance. Never was “under” it but your point is very well understood and thanks for clarifying/stating it. Never truly work under a car without jack stands etc.

I don't believe where I am I would get a ticket solely for the missing plate. But if I were to park somewhere metered, a parking enforcement individual would certainly write one, and I have on the rare occasions of street parking at a meter, installed it and then removed it when I was leaving. But in almost 18 months of driving the car, I have not been pulled over simply for the plate, or any other reason thankfully.

Finished ceramic coating the winter wheels today. Still very warm, which sucks for bowhunting but will put them on (and wife's A6) when the weather finally turns.

19/20"s with Continental winter tires.

Bought the frunk liner and carseat mat protector. Frunk liner is a bit more solid than I had anticipated. It fits nicely, but takes up a little bit of your frunk space.

The car seat mat protector is clearly not designed for a 911. There’s a strap meant to go around a headrest, to keep the mat from sliding down the seat. No headrest on the rear seats of a 911. It is nicely padded, and there are cutouts for LATCH connectors. But the seat length is also a bit long for the 911. Overall, not that impressed. I’m not sure it’s better than my old towel I had been using. I’m pretty certain there are better options out there.

Back seat kick protector also is a no-go on the 911. You can either get it strapped tight for when the seatback is tilted forward or back. But not both. I suspect I could jury rig something with rubber bands.

I did get the car seat mat to work better by securing the headrest strap to the rear LATCH position.

A repeat but changed out to the winter tires today. Next I'll clean the turbos and A6 summer tires before storing all 8 until spring, but not today. Did both cars and installed a new bench top vise, so enough for one day.
