I have had the Tire Rack one for years and used to store my mounted wheels/tires for the M5. It is very strong and pretty adjustable. I highly recommend.

Nice. Two questions.

1. Any nicks or damage on your centerlock wheels?
2. Are the new balancing weights on the inside of the wheels painted black?

A new stablemate, 2023 Macan S for the wife because her SL 550 wasn't practical with only a 992 in the household.

My car just started production today after being in the scheduled for production stage for awhile. I hope it only takes 30 days to arrive at my dealership as my scheduled delivery date is 12/16. After reading these posts, 30 days sounds pretty aggressive.

For those in the Northern latitudes I humbly recommend Nokian Hakka studded; my motto or them is "where others slow down". The Michelin Alpin don't really hold a candle to them. Both the wife's Macan S and my V8 Touareg are all on Nokian and I'll be swapping out my Alpin.

YMMV

Studded are illegal in a lot of states and overkill also unless you are truly using it for a DD and have to get through wherever you are going in any weather.

It's overkill until you hit a patch of ice etc. Of course if they're illegal it is what it is. Here they must come off by May.

Got my winters put on. Temps were in the low 40s when I picked it up. I have to say these tires are phenomenal. It gave me back the PS4S grip that disappeared when the temps got down. Remarkably I want to say they are just as quiet if not more quiet than the PS4S as well. I also didn’t notice the harshness that the PS4S tires have after the dealership fills them to 45000 psi or whatever they like to overfill tires at lol.

Agreed, I put about 100 miles on them the last couple of days in light snow/cold wet conditions and have had the same experience as you. They are phenomenal.

While I was at the dealer getting tires swapped I picked up a set of tire totes for my summer tires. Only 60 bucks!

What did I buy my 992 today? A stablemate for my new wife to drive. It will come in about 8 mos they tell us. Her 2016 Audi A7 is 7 years old with 90K miles and the tech isn't so great on it anymore so we ordered a 2023 BMW M5 Competition for her . We looked at Taycans (we aren't ready or interesting in going electric yet), Panameras (too long and eggy looking for our eye, not our style), E63S's - she wasn't impressed with the rear looks, audi S7 and RS7 - she didn't like what they did to the rear end, etc, etc. She didn't want an SUV, it's just us.
