It’s less of a question of accuracy and more of confidence. It could be that exact day. Or it could be months or more off. Too many unknowns.

I ordered a Taycan in 2021 and I watched TYD stay on schedule all the way until it got to the Houston port where it sat for 3 weeks because of missing TPMS.

Just about anything can delay it at any point.
Or it could sail through. 🤷‍♂️

That's fantastic, congrats! How long did it take for the system to update the dates and upload the photos compared to original estimates? My production start for my 911 T was supposed to be on 5/10, no updates as of today.

I have identical dates for steps 4 - 8 as you. step 4 is still gray for me as well and no checkmark next to 3. I believe prior steps updates with a checkmark when the next step is in progress.

OK, that makes sense - bold means that phase has begun, and the check means it is complete (whereupon the next phase should be bold).

Took me almost 3 years to get this allocation but to actually get to monitor the production process now has made the wait worth it.
My build dates are similar to yours. Freeze date 6/19 and delivery 8/11. Ordering them and watching the process is great fun and sometimes the anticipation is painful. They run low on parts (ceramic brakes are low right now) or it's tied up in port, or semiconductor issues etc. But doing the build is awesome on every level except your checkbook. This is my 3rd go around with TYD, I still have the 2018 Macan that I ordered and just pre-traded my 2021 Targa 4s. I'm looking forward to the whole process as much as the first time.
Best of luck, you're getting an amazing car.

Nice. Hope mine is right behind yours! Which tires did you end up with? Can’t tell when I zoom in.

Usually people can zoom in and see it from the elevator pic. Maybe try on your computer.

My experience is similar to some. Started off great, locked on 4/3 with a 6/9 dealer delivery. Manufacturing started on time 4/28 with a 5/6 completion. Received all 4 pics in the coming days, including the elevator pic on 5/4 and excitement elevated. Then 5/6 came and went and on 5/8 the completion date was bumped a month to 6/5 with dealer deliver 7/9. SA can't see any issues on his end. Who knows what the cause is, supply chain? The car is complete thru the production process and on the elevator to QC. Did they find something wrong and need a new part? Who knows. Is there a part that is installed after the elevator pic and not avail? Who knows. Are they delaying cars for shipping reasons? Who knows. Are they delaying cars to move profit to the next quarter? Who knows. Obviously frustrated but......the car is still on the way and I hope the delivery date improves for all or at the least is not delayed further! Hang in there! Someday in the future our Porsche's will arrive!

I think it has something to do with your car and not the other more general possibilities you mentioned, because I locked on 4/12 and arrived at the German port today 5/11.

Just an FYI, the dates on TYD sometimes get screwy. The same thing happened with my Targa, original completion was Dec 1 with dealer delivery of 12-29. Then it all changed showing dealer delivery Jan20 and then the car shows up at dealer on Dec 30. Be patient, TYD is far from perfect.

My car is beating date estimates on the timeline and local dealer delivery is now showing about a week earlier than the original date estimate at V200.

It's a C2S - FAL - Sport-Tex - carbon fiber roof - 7-speed manual - SportDesign

No way! This gives me a lot of hope. Couple questions. While you were waiting, did you check on the timeline that your dealer has (you know, the one they see on their end with planned, expected, and actual dates for each step)? If so, did those dates match what TYD was showing you such that even those dates showed the almost month long delay?

Also, did you get all 4 photos of the car when it was completed?

The dealer didn't have any answers. I only got one picture and the car had not been completed yet, it looked like it was in an MRI machine.
