Has anyone else that had their car on the RCC Compass that made it to San Diego last Monday 5/1 received an updated on their car leaving the port?
or anyone else at the port of San Diego in general?
just wondering what the current timeframe is to make it out of SD. Ive had cars make it out of San Diego in 2-3 days time on previous orders. Not the case this time around.
Thanks
Ships docked 5/1 and was notified by the SA morning of 5/3 that the car was through the VPC and released for transportation. No news since…
Well I'd heard about this happening and now it's happened to me too. My car reached the port in Germany on 4/27 with a scheduled departure on 4/28 for arrival in LA at the end of May. Never got on a ship, now says departure on 5/22 to arrive in late June. Crazy.

Normal. Getting onto a vessel next day is the exception, not the rule. Porsche has no way of knowing exact port departure dates because vessel schedules change all the time. It has improved a bit since the pandemic, but still not perfect (has never been perfect - difficult to plan transoceanic trips with Mother Nature in the mix).

Yeah, makes sense. I had thought the shipping schedule was more frequent than every three weeks or so. Heck, maybe it is and there’s a backup to get on a boat.
original ETA when we placed the order was like, 6/15 or 6/16 so it’s just about a week behind the initial estimate. Not too bad.
Is there a vessel schedule that shows departures from Emden that stop in Houston?
I’ve seen more detailed info in the Emden thread in the GT3 forum, but I don’t know where they’re getting it from.
Siem Aristotle is scheduled to get to Emden on 5/19, so maybe that’s the 5/22 boat.
My car just got to Emden today, also Houston bound. It still shows tomorrow as the ship date, which I know isn’t gonna happen. I’m just waiting for it to update to something else.

Looks like I caught the Glovis Superior and my car is on its way!
Congrats, I’m on that boat also. That checks off one box that won’t be a reason for added delays. I haven’t been able to verify the sip using the F12 hack but hope it shows the boat number on there soon.
Anyone else's car stuck in the Houston Port? It's been there since the 27th and past due what they expected at the dealership and TYD. My SA says he can't get any answers.
