Based on everything I am reading, I have been pretty lucky with my base 992 order. I contacted the dealer on August 1st and they said a 2023 base allocation was available. The (3) people that were on the list all backed out. Placed my deposit that day and sent my build. Fast forward to today, it is on the Violet Ace that just docked, and is slated to arrive at the dealer on November 4th. If all continues according to plan, my order will have taken a hair over 3 months. Still feels a little surreal and I cannot wait to get behind the wheel. Hopefully we have a couple more months of snowless (or light snow) driving left.

Nice. Mine is a GTS cab. Hopefully taking delivery the end of next week. The Collection has been great to deal with. My experience has been very easy so far and I have not experienced any delays or other issues others have complained about the process. I am sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Congrats on your C2! It’s been very long 12+ months to say the least. Signed non binding agreement 10/29/2021 — Allocation assigned 06/30/2022 — Freeze V210 07/01 — Estimated delivery originally 10/28 but as of this past Friday 12/09. I’m thinking Porsche will automatically give me a 2023 at this point LOL
Congrats on your cab! Wholeheartedly agree with you on the experience so far. Great communication. Was on the list but kept in touch. Sales manager and SA both reached out to me to lock down an allocation before freeze date and I jumped on it within 24 hours. No shenanigans. No games.
Maybe we will wind up picking up our cars around the same time. I spoke to my SA today who is completely responsive and a really nice guy. He said their system updates on Fridays and he should have more information then as to the delivery date.
Holy poop. TYD just updated, and I'm going to miss another boat out of Emden. My 22 GTS has been there since 9/15. Shipment has slipped several times, and is now 12/22 to PEC Atlanta. It will have been in Emden for months. PEC rep tells me it's FIFO at Emden, but I see lots of people commenting on their schedule here, so that's not actually the case. It's not even going to be safe to drive it back from Atlanta to DC in January with summer performance tires. The trip back as originally scheduled in October could have been amazing with Tail of Dragon, Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge parkway...

- Could there be something wrong with the car that's keeping it in Emden?
- Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to shake it loose?

Wow those dates are not much different than mine and, as I said, I took delivery this week. It makes you speculate about what components specific to the GTS are causing this lengthy of a delay. Also, I wouldn't be optimistic about the change to a 23. Porsche needs to plan those things well in advance for manufacturing setups, they would have communicated that change to you by now.
