How far is your dealer from Jacksonville?

In my situation, my 911 Targa 4 was completed last Friday (8/27). TYD shows "transit to Emden" with an arrival date of 8/27. But it still hasn't arrived. Since my car is going to the West Coast (Benecia, CA), the shipping date is 9/24. But from looking at your situation, who knows the "what, where, and when" going forward.

Any updates on your order?

My car is supposed to come over on Siem Confucius also, but I just check Marinetraffic.com and Vesselfinder.com, and both show it is still "moored" in Emden?

No changes. My SA told me it still shows arrival at Emden on 8/27. He said it could already be there, or might be en route. But he said not to worry. My boat isn’t due to leave until 9/24, but I was hoping for an earlier one.

The default timing built into the Porsche timelines and reflected on TYD is 3 weeks from arrival at Emden to departure, and all dates shown in the "expected" future dates are on Fridays. So there really is no "due" date for your boat - it all depends on the shipping schedule and luck of the draw. Cars can get on ships within a couple of days of arrival when the timing is good. 3 weeks, in my experience, is a very conservative estimate. I've ordered several over the past 5 years and can't recall having a car at Emden for more than 2 weeks. My most recent (Taycan, delivery early August) got on a ship that was arriving at the port the same day.

Your SA should not have to guess whether your car is at Emden. Have them run a report from the PSVM system - if it's there the tracking sheet would show an actual date, and there's generally excellent agreement between that and what TYD shows for the milestone completion.

Thanks for the heads up on the deviated stitching package. I think I will leave well enough alone. My TYD dates reshuffled again over night and arrival date was moved up 1 week. Not going to get excited as the arrival date and port entry date are the same so obviously not possible.

John S,

Is the front bumper missing the high gloss black lip in this picture or am I missing something?

I wonder if they had to wait to fill up the ships since no cars were produced for the entire summer break
Where are you clicking "in transit" exactly? which screen?

First post!

Ordered 911 Base Cab on 5/31. Walked into the dealer to inquire and they had an allocation available somehow.
Freeze Date: 8/25, Unfroze 8/30 for 9/1 and then moved to 9/3
production and delivery moved from 9/24 to 10/01 and 11/12 to 11/19 respectively, with on-vessel scheduled for 10/29 now
Hopefully minimal further delays. I'm not in a big hurry even though I check TYD everyday.

Thankfully I have a 981 Boxster S to get me through to the end.

Cheers

On the "Track your dream" section... even if your slider hasn't moved to "in transit", click on it... Mine showed the vessel information even though the bar had not actually progressed to the "in transit" stage... it currently has updated and in vessel on the way to Halifax via the Siem Confucius as Minessotan correctly pointed out... best of luck mate.
