I just added
1) extended range fuel tank
2) interior trim inlays in leather
3) exclusive design taillights

Would any of these cause my dates to change. Seems odd my "freeze" date changed as well. My SA is warning me that any changes may cause delays in production.

I was concerned adding anything that would have electronics because of the chip shortages. I have heard those items can delay your production date. It seems very odd to me that all my dates got pushed. I assume I am alone, because I am not hearing the same news from others on this forum (who I am sure check their dates as often as I do). So, I just added a different taillight and fuel tank. Was thinking about asking my SA to remove those one at a time to see if my dates went back. Just kidding. Or, not. Sure Im kidding. Would not put my SA through that. Maybe... No.

Guess I can wait 2 more weeks for this car. Now its a Christmas present!

Nope those are standard in the US. I will get the clear ones once the car delivers to match the clear taillights.

You're not alone. My order date moved from May to June when I changed my color in June, a few weeks before the lock date. It also pushed my lock date to July and my delivery date from September to late October. I then added FAL and puddle lighting in July, again before my new lock date, and my order date changed to that same date, my lock date changed to mid September, and my delivery date changed to early December.

I have had similar changes in dates with no
changes in configuration. Initial order 5/12 with lock 7/19 and 11/10 delivery. Current lock is 9/9 with 12/10 delivery. So there are delays independent of config changes.

My salesperson has told me that they don't expect any delays in the delivery of 2022 models because of EPA or other regulatory issues. He also said that the factory will reopen on August 20 and that I should expect some adjustments to the milestone dates shortly thereafter, as my Targa 4 started actual production on 7/26.

Found this on the Porsche site about the factory.

Porsche Leipzig will be closed from 31st July 2021 to 23rd August 2021 inclusive due to the summer holidays.
Please note that we cannot work on enquiries and purchase orders during that period but will process all requests from 24th August 2021 on. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This is in regard to Leipzig Plant. If I am not mistaken, the 911s are manufactured in Zuffenhausen only (?). The date of restarting production, however, may very well be the same for both.

I hope so, my 2022 was suppose to exit the port today in transit to dealership - but so far it’s not updated. SA said they expect delivery on 8/20, but I would feel better knowing it actually left the port.
