Looks great! and the stitching on the black leather is perfect.

I am waiting to get dates from dealer for my C2S Cab... I am still at V070 and they can't give me a V200 yet!

Read your purchase contract, specifically regarding deposit return.
The dealer may wish to sell to someone who has offered more.

I think anytime before the freeze date they will refund the deposit. At least that’s how my dealer had it setup.

Finalized my build in the past couple of days. I was originally going with black or jet black. Then I saw the example below of a Carmine Red 992 and changed my mind. A bit darker that Guards Red. I was not able to see an in person example. However, I was down at PEC Atlanta this past Saturday and was able to see a Carmine Red Macan in close proximity to a GR 992. I really liked the difference. Actually looks close to Georgia Bulldog red in some lighting. I won't have my car to take down to JAX for GA/FL, but hopefully I'll have it should we make it to the SECCG. Hopefully I will leave this build alone for the next month. It may be hard with so many excellent combinations that others are posting. Vehicle is showing up in TYD. Only oddity is that it is showing delivery to ordering dealer instead of PEC Atlanta on map.

Order created on 7/8/21
Order freeze point 9/1/21

VERY nice (acknowledging my bias) - as I have a very similar build in a Targa. My original wheel choice was also the Carrera Classics - with a little time I found that they blended in too much with the GT silver exterior for my liking. I ended up switching them out for 911 Turbo wheels. Before and after shown - but no bad choices. Some raise concern about the Turbo wheels being difficult to keep clean but that hasn't been my experience and I had them on a 991.2 C4S.

I agree that the Turbo wheels have more of a pop -- why are they so pricey?

The Turbo wheels and the Exclusive Design wheels are the only ones that the configurator describes as being forged. If the other options are cast, then that would explain the price jump.

Hey guys! Newbie here. First Porsche. 1968 Chevelle > Ford Taurus > C-class Mercedes > BMW 440i Coupe. To say I'm excited would be the understatement of the century.

Here is my build for a S coupe (trying to keep max at ~$140K. I started with $125K max and then...well...Porsche charges for everything):

https://www.porsche.com/microsite/po...px?c=/PN1LQNI1
  • Aventurine green w/ truffle brown club leather + chalk stitching (love the vintage feel of this combo but still debating as it's highly specific of course)
  • Sport Package
  • Sunroof
  • SportDesign Front Fascia only (debating this one - if I delete will change interior trim to brushed aluminum + maybe RAS; not sure)
  • Silver window trim
  • Power folding mirrors
  • Extended range fuel tank (funny they charge for this?)
  • Carrera S wheels w/ color logos
  • Sport Seats Plus (4-way) - I know seats are a hotly debated topic on here; wanted to save somewhere
  • GT sport steering wheel
  • BOSE
Timeline / Other Info:
  • Contacted nine SoCal dealers - only one had a November allocation. All others were a combo of $10K-$25K ADMs and/or no foreseeable allocations. I'd call out Porsche Irvine as especially awful to deal with. I'm paying MSRP which is new for me but I'm guessing MSRP pricing is normal for a 911.
  • November allocation for a January delivery (I have a commission number - not sure what I do with that - I know I should link my car to my Porsche registration email at some point)
  • 10/14 Freeze Date
  • 1/14 Estimated Delivery Date

MSRP is about as good as you're going to do right now, especially in Southern Cal. Regarding the commission number - that's assigned with your order but until the allocation comes through nothing is going to happen. At this point you should establish an account on the MyPorsche.com website. Assuming your dealership associates your email address that you use for that account correctly with your order/allocation, you should receive an email and link to activate Track Your Dream within a couple of days of getting your allocation (V200 status).

Congrats! I am waiting for a GTS allocation as well. I don't think Porsche handed any out in the US. All of the dealers I have talked to tell me they did not get any and will have to wait until allocation distribution in September. Fingers crossed.

So I haven’t dug back through the numerous pages of this thread looking for this answer but as for getting pictures of my build in progress, do I just go to my vehicles and click “discover current phase”? I’ve done that numerous times and it still says “scheduled for production” there.

But production on mine started 7/15/21 and got to the completed “CP8.0” status today, 7/21/21. I know some have gotten pics and others haven’t. Just wanted to make sure I’m not missing anything when trying to find them. Nothing yet but I’m hoping they might show up even though they aren’t anything that’s overly exciting. Thanks for any tips!
