Geeez this is maddening..haha but fun..so I've changed the interior color to black with chalk stitching because it looks like the slate grey is too light in online photos and videos but then I am seeing the slate grey with chalk interior and that looks sweet! My lock in date is April 14 so I still have some time but not actually being able to see these colors in real life is causing the issues..and no way for me to be able to do that..anyone has any input for how dark/light the slate grey is would be helpful and whether the chalk interior would be to much light/blending for the already Carrara White Metallic exterior? Why don't you choose the Premium package. It will add Surround View $1430 and Lane Change assist $1060 for $690. Just a thought, I really like both features.
My C2S build locked a few days ago. My next steps are scheduled for production 4/16 and start production 4/30. Based on folks’ experience, can I hope for these dates to accelerate? There’s a lot of discussion about the port process, but I’d love to know if I can be hopeful for change here or not. Thanks!

mine is right before you at a 4/09 and a 4/23 start prod date! Hoping it gets bumped up like a few others have had in last few weeks

How long can we expect Bishu Highway to be in Emden port? Anyone know how many Cars are loaded on this ship? Do they have to unload cars first or is it just a pickup?

with prior cars, BMWs, ships seemed to be in port for only a few days. My car has been in port since 3/24, maybe not going to make it onto the Bishu Highway. FWIW, my car got to Emden on 3/2, and was loaded onto the Goodwood on 3/4 or 3/5 (which apparently arrived Emden on 3/3, and was there for about 2.5 days).
I took his/her statement as a form of comparison, “sold my e46 M3 and bought a Porsche since BMW...” Apples and oranges. Maybe he wasn’t comparing that specific car to a 992, just the entire BMW brand. Cool.
Sorry if I wasn’t clear. I had owned more than one BMW before I purchased my e46 M3 convertible in 2006. I loved them all and think BMW makes excellent machines.
I recently drove a new M3 and M4, seeking to replace my e46. They were great machines , but neither put a smile on my face (my personal definition of the ultimate driving machine). A long time Porsche owner and close friend suggested I try out a Porsche. I drove 718s and 911s. The 992 did the trick.
Hope I’ve cleared things up. I looking forward to being welcomed into the Porsche community.
My 992 CS has a status of v200; expecting delivery in early July. I'm still contemplating the front axel lift given the slope of getting into my condo. It's a steep price to pay, but some how I got over paying about the same for Carmine Red. This is going to be quite an upgrade from my 2015 GTI!

For those of us waiting for a ship to San Diego, does anyone know when the schedules get updated? Seems that all the San Diego-bound vessels on the latest PWL schedule (below) have already departed.
