This is my configuration:
http://www.porsche-code.com/PL2CL1P9
As the delivery is September/October also these additional options will be added later when available:
- Exterior mirror painted
- Exterior mirror upper trims in carbon fibre (CFRP)
- 6RD Interior trim package with decorative stitching in contrasting colour RED
- LED main headlights with matrix beam in black incl. PDLS Plus
My view on some options and why I did chose them:
- GT sport steering wheel is bad choice for tall people like me. Without it I see part of the outer dials, with GT I do not even see fully the inner dials.
- The sound of sports exhaust system is almost as bad as without it. I like the look of 4 pipes.
- I am not sure about Lightweight carbon roof with Porsche transport system, nobody knows if it will be available.
- Going for Wheels painted in satin black but still thinking about wheels painted in satin aurum
- Adaptive Sports seats in front (18-way, electric) with memory package is the best choice for tall people
- I am not a fan of Alcantara

Nice. I'm going from a 4S to 2S after the my last test drive blew me away. Did you get pricing for the yet to be released options?

Wow did I find the right place. I am in the market for a good used '17-'18 991.2, then stopped by my local dealer here in Tampa recently and discussed the 992...wow. They look gorgeous.
Anyone know when the configurator for a 2020 Carrera with 7MT will be available on Porsche USA?

I was told by one dealer it would be November. I'm guessing 9 months from now for delivery.

Trying to get thread back after hijacking.
Ordered 992 4//2. Build complete 5/25 have VIN.
Original delivery: about 7/27. All indications are that wil not happen.
From earlier post: over 1200 North America bound 992s and Porsche gets no $ until EPA certified in dealers hands.
Per Porsche transport driver: Never saw so many cars in Davisville, RI docks.
Running out of storage facilities, backing up from Davisville to Emden (German port) to factory?
Hopeful delivery in August

I check the CARB website every few days. The last VW Group vehicle that was approved was the 2020 Audi R8 V10 on 6th June. There seems to be a new batch of approvals every 2 weeks or so.
yamurc - is your delivery date still saying July 27th? Everyone else I am aware of that had a 12-July delivery (optimistic placeholder) with orders placed in Jan/Feb is now targeting 13-Sep (perhaps a pessimistic placeholder).

As soon as you know please let us know!! My order was placed in Jan. For euro delivery. I chose Sept. to coincide with a family trip. Now Porsche is not confirming pickup at factory date cause they can’t release car unless it has EPA/Carb. So I can’t even buy tickets and they are not willing to change to later date given they don’t know when they get the approvals. Let’s hope for good news soon!

Over on the Rennlist Macan forum, new Macans (new rear and Panamera style PCM) are arriving and there’s some mention that they’re getting Carb certified,, FWIW.

CARB approval list is here:https://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad.../2020.php?so=4
The docs are by brand (e.g. VW Group) and are hard to read - the last page tells you which model was just certified (e.g. 2020 Audi R8).
People are expecting CARB certification to take 2 months from first cars hitting US shores (as early as mid-July) and potentially the 37 states that are need EPA certification instead of CARB might be ready a few weeks earlier. The additional 2 months delay (13 Sep delivery) might be more related to Porsche USA getting ready to launch the product (marketing, internal training etc).

My car has been built and has a VIN number. It left on the ship 1 1/2 weeks ago. Coming to the West Coast thru the Panama Canal (4 to 5 weeks). I have been told not to expect it until the second week of July. Cannot get a firm date until it reaches San Diego and Customs gets their hands on it.
