Officially went "VO50 Configuration created" status on April 26. SA texted the screenshot.
SA says tracking should be available by Monday.

Stoked. First Porsche that I've spec’d.

<whelp> No. And I had to put a $5k deposit down to boot. They probably saw me coming from a mile away.

In the EPA's April newly published database there are a ton of 2020 vehicle certifications, but not one for Porsche. It might be a long wait for us.

Got some great news this morning from my SA. I go V900 on September 13, 2019. That’s 6 weeks before I was expecting it! My freeze date is June 20.

Neil - not sure about that, but I wonder whether my build was pushed up because I didn’t hesitate to put down the $5k. I didn’t ask and dealer didn’t say. But my delivery date is now 6 weeks before I was initially quoted, before the deposit.

YoungTurk, is this something your dealer signed you up for? This is my 3rd ordered Porsche and have never seen that.

I was talking to four dealerships back in December/January and deposits for an allocation varied from $2500 to $10k. I went with the one asking for $10k as they treated me the best and also gave me a small discount off MSRP.

It is dealership by dealership. Have 4 in Dallas. 3 wanted $2500, 1 wanted $1k. Wasn’t why I made my decision but I only put $1k down.
