Seeing this photo made me think, I've never seen a standard tractor trailer car hauler with 911s on it. Are they are shipped enclosed? I've seen other similar priced cars 1 or 2 of a brand let's say MB or Audi.
Yes, Porsche's are shipped from the VPC to the dealers in enclosed trailers at least in the US. They are shipped in open trailers in Germany from the factory to the port in Emden.
Hi. The build pictures can come up any time--but usually right after completion or a few days afterwards.
Thanks again!!!! Production was scheduled for 5/21 with a completion date of 5/29. I got a few pic's last night including the elevator shot saying its built and now set for test and review. So glad to see all is well, at least for now.
Scheduled pick up at the LA Center is 8/9, our anniversary is 8/11 and my wife doesn't know its coming!
Unfortunately the website seems to have coded out the hack to allow the ship name to be seen. However, you will get a notification when your car boards the ship, and you can cross reference that to the dockage manifest to see what ship loaded on that day to determine the vessel and track it.
The hack is still working, but I did notice that if you use "api_porsche" in the filter box, the info does not come up.
If you use "api" it does.

This is a beautiful car!!! Your wife will be so happy I am sure!!
I waffled significantly on my first 992 build. Not doing so nearly as much on the second one. I do feel a few weeks, maybe 3 max is all one needs to suffer through until V250. I had nearly three months the first time around. 🤦♂️
I had a month to play on the configurator. Porsche is simply brilliant w/that thing and making it a total life force suck!
During that time, Porsche themselves sucked another $15K in options out of me before freeze. Went from a very streamline build to leather door sills and cup holder, some fancy-pants clock on my dashboard and a bunch of other stuff that won't make it go any faster... but it sure will smell good inside!

I had 24 hours to finalize as the dealer was able to extend the freeze date by almost 2 weeks on an unspoken for S allocation. I probably missed a couple of things that had I had more time, I may have changed but car is built and sitting at the port now waiting to come across the pond. In a way, it was a good thing as I had to make decisions and pretty much got everything I THINK I wanted. The other items were just cosmetic so the essentials are all there. Hoping it makes it onto the Siem Confucius this week.
It’s hard to realize how successfully Porsche creates this bespoke experience for the 911. This community is the best example. We’re not buying a commodity, but a personalized tailor made product that reflects our own identity. The waiting process and of course the website / app process just enhances the whole thing. For Porsche it’s additional profit. But they provide a value which you don’t really get in automobiles any more- unless you spend a lot more.

Hoping my wife’s gets loaded tomorrow. It’s been sitting for a while now. Baltimore port destination car. She picked about every possible leather option she could on this build 😅
